Personally this was not my cup of tea, and I dropped it. But I can see why a lot of people like it and want more episodes. The story line is cool, and the really interesting. I just could not care enough to keep up with it. I found out this was a video game adaptation, which is why I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story. Personally I am not a fan of harems or reverse harems because someone is gonna be left unhappy in one way or another. But the way this anime is going, I feel like everyone will find someone who they truly love, even if it is not Katarina (or at least I hope so).  I have to say I liked season 2 a little more than season 1; I don’t know why I just do. I have to say I can’t wait for another season. Poor Katarina she can never catch a break. LOL

Honestly I was excited to watch this, not because I thought it was going to be an exciting super cool anime that I'm gonna be hooked on, but because I thought it was going to be a good casual watch that I can listen to passively. Yea, I got what I asked for and a few hours later I was on episode 5, and I was lost. Honestly the story seems really good (from what I've watched), but from the very first episode I felt like we were dropped in the middle of story. The MC is a soldier in the army in the north, but gets demoted because of her reckless actions. Then she gets a chance to prove herself, with a mission to another nation with three other comrades. Long story short: she goes, sees how wonderful the country is and how their citizens are living, meets the hero, nearly gets caught, but manage to escape and end up leaving their captain (who sacrifices himself for them to escape). Overall, I thought this was a good anime to chill and watch passively; I binged it in a day when I wanted breaks. If you like animes about over-powered MCs that have a harem of girls around them, then this is definitely a contender. But unlike most MCs this guy is oblivious to this natural charm and is unintentionally wooing all these girls, and having them fall in love. Which i think adds to his sweet innocent charm, personally he's really cute. Trigger Warning: Self-harm, insinuations of rape/sexual assault  The first episode is action-packed, interesting, and hooks you instantly; making you want to binge watch the whole thing in one sitting. The actual show itself is amazing (don't get me wrong) but it's the first episode kinda catfishes you. It's more relaxed and slow paced, but that's also one of the things I like about it. It's not the typical action based anime, that most would drift to, but its definitely has some action and suspense to it. Although if you hated chemistry, like I did, just fast forward past the MC taking about compounds and elements. But overall, it was really interesting to watch, and a nice change of pace. To me, this is the type of anime you watch when you don't want to binge something long or overly complicated/complex.  If another season were to come out, I'd definitely watch it. 

I’ve seen lots of comments saying tearing this anime apart because its ecchi and perverted. Not gonna lie ecchi is one of my least, if not my least  favorite genres, and if I’d known this anime had it I wouldn’t have watched it. But, to each his/her own, I’m not gonna judge what you like to watch. Personally, at the point, I’m just skipping over these scenes it in the anime. Overall the anime, was great; the art was fantastic, the music was beautiful, and most of the characters and their interaction with the FL were cute and sweet. My only issue is completely understanding the mythology/supernatural elements regarding the Owl and the Island os seclusion, but that’s more of a me issue. But I’m hoping they do another season, and special episode to explain it a little better.

This is a freaking phenomenal anime. The animation is amazing, the balance of contemporary and fantasy elements is perfect, and from the three episodes (on crunchyroll it's broken into 3 eps) we got the story is interesting as hell. BUT, I'm so lost. Where is the rest of it? I feel like they just threw us in the middle of the story. I need more, a lot more.

I really enjoyed this anime; it was very sweet and wholesome, a little angst, a little action sprinkled here and there. As a whole it was created and written very well. But if I have to say the first season was not my favorite, I felt like I had to force myself to watch it  sometimes. The reason is because Myne’s obsession with books. It was over the top. I get loving books and reading, but her obsession and need to read put her in stupid and dangerous situations more than it should have. This seemed like it was going to be a great anime, from the poster and synopsis; but it was a huge disappointment, and extremely ridiculous. The MC is dumb, but also he isn't; it's hard to explain. He's dumb in the sense that he's his average teenage boy who has three things on his mind 1.) girls 2.) hanging out with his friends 3.) having a good time. But he's academically intelligent.
