Hi I'm Meteor (my username is only MeteorJam because Meteor was already taken). I'm from Portugal and I'm 17 years old. I've been watching anime since I was a kid, but only a year ago did I start watching anime for real. I used to watch the average shounen crap anime when I was a kid like Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Beyblade, Captain Tsubasa, etc. Since then my taste has evolved, and I now watch more mature anime.

I like anime with identity. With that I mean anime that know what they are, that don't try to be deep when they're everything but deep. Good examples of this are Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and Panty & Stocking, that know they're not deep and act like they are not deep, rather than being random crap and fanservice and then proceeding to shove "deep" moral messages down the viewers throat. Though of course shows can be deep, and have deep moral themes, in which case they end up being even better than shows that are not deep but have an identity.

I do not like characters who are emotionless for no fucking reason (AKA Inaho from Aldnoah.Zero or Tatsuya from Mahouka). I also hate protagonists that have no personality. Then all the casual viewers end up thinking "OMG i can relate to him!" when in reality the only reason why you can relate to him is because he has no personality (AKA Kirito from SAO).

I also hate fanservice, info-dumping, pretentious anime and anime with heavy metal screams. Heavy metal is shit.

I like characters with internal conflicts, where they have to overcome challeges and make decisions. It makes things more interesting, and makes the characters feel human. I also like characters that are pragmatic. Characters who analyze the situation using logic. Even if they end up being incapable of doing something due to morality or something along those lines, if they have an internal struggle and find a solution then i don't mind if they make mistakes (AKA Kaiji in the pole walking challenge in the second arc of season 1).

My favorite genres are the following:

1. Comedy

2. Drama

3. Sports

4. Action

5. Psychological

My avatar is Ushio from Clannad, and my cover is the Friend logo from the manga 20th Century Boys.

My favorite youtubers are ThatAnimeSnob, Digibro, AnimeAddicts, and TVFilthyFrank. The first 3 are good analysts, the last one is an autistic asian.

Hi Meteor XD

You know, you dont have to take the review personally.  You seemed offended.

now while I didnt point out many of the flaws, I did say that I was having trouble organizing my thoughts :DI also said that I realized that there are major flaws.I read the list of things that pissed you off, and I pretty much agree wholeheartedly with every single one of them XDHowever that was the struggle I had with the anime.  I was doing so well, and captured me week after week.  I loved it. . . . until they started ruining everything.  I personally cant give an anime a terrible score due to only the ending.  I truly did enjoy it, it just didnt resolve well at all.anyways, thanks for your input!  Like I said you dont have to take it personally.  I am just more lenient on scoring that is all.

did you seriously take the time to write all that on my page? lol....if everything i had stated was invalid, then what is the point of replying? and you don't have appreciation for any anime....your critical on anime that has an average of a 5 star rating but you rate it at 3 stars or even less......your way to critical on anime and if you really believe that they are so bad and you know all the flaw's then go write your own manga and convert it to anime.....i litteraly read the first paragraph of what you said and you gave me a laugh as well, but i'm not gonna read the whole thing because it is pointless to do so.....you expect waaaaay to much of the anime you watch like the writer was suppose to write the story around your liking......your crazy man.....from your ratings on anime you have watched it seems like you don't even like anime, and i have watched school days 3 times and gotten all the way through......i know the story and believe it or not it is complicated.......you just don't appreciate the twists and turns and the conflict in the anime, everybody has their own taste, like i stated before i am not picky and i can find things i like in almost all anime, you seem like you want the writers thoughts and story to revolve you like previously stated.....sorry buddy....thats not how it works.....lastly....some of your favorite characters are from OREIMO?!?!......i have had more conversations with people that hate OREIMO and find it pointless than school days by far......i havn't watched it but it is on my i want to watch list....i'll give you this at least you had some redeeming characters like characters from gurren lagaan, yuyu hakasho, code geass, kill la kill, clannad, and sword art online but COME ON MAN.....how are you gonna claim how bad school days is and then have two characters from the show as two of your favorite characters......if it was that bad how you "love" those characters.......thats just hypocrisy at its finest......

Another thing, you don't seem to like a wide variety of anime, if you look at my list of anime i have watched and am watching anime from all these genre's Mecha, Action, Adventure, Slice of Life, Otaku Culture, Psychological Thriller, Horror, Romance, School life, Ecchi, Harem, Drama, Comedy, Etc.......I don't mean to be a dick either but i'm older than you by a couple years and maybe i'm more mature an that's why i can enjoy these anime's, i also looked at your ratings on anime and you seem very hard to please when it comes to enjoying an anime, i'm a huge fan of anime and its hard for me to dislike an anime unless i'm really put off by it, i how ever have an open mind and will watch anime and see the message they were trying to portray, you judged all the anime like you know a lot about the genre but i don't think you have watched enough of the genre's from any of the anime's that i said i enjoyed that you judged so it would be hard for you to know what a bad romance anime is and a good one if you aren't expierienced enough on the genre.....another thing, you don't enjoy fanservice which is probably why you won't enjoy any of the anime i like, fanservice is neccesary in some anime to attract the watcher, here is a bit of info for one of the anime's you want to watch which is B Gata H Kei......it is full of fanservice in all types of ways.....it litteraly is meant for teenage boys who are still in puberty, there is fan service flooding that show, believe me you'll thank me later for saying so if you watch it even though i enjoyed it

I know i'm a bit late on my response but here go's nothing, Code Geass does have great graphics, i wasn't comparing this Code Geass however. As for your opinions on the other anime i posted, i enjoyed those shows because they were intense, and had mature subject manner, i watch all types of anime, and it isn't hard for me to get into an anime, regardless of the genre, another thing being that the other anime i listed had a well put together story, i think your basing your opinions on them based on the subject matter, the storys were well put together and had some great twists and turns which is why i enjoyed them, none of them had endings that i could even come close to predicting the end even if it wasn't as satisfying as predicted, i watch anime pointed towards adults and a mature crowd, i'm not sure if you looked at my anime list but if you had you would notice that by the anime i watch and am interested in watching like parasyte, FLCL, Paranoia Agent, Afro Samurai, Attack on Titan, Kite, Another, Higurashi, Perect Blue, Psycho-pass, Tokko, Shiki, Another, etc.....just because you don't agree with me doesnt mean i'm right or wrong because it is all based off of opinion, and i don't want to be mean here either like you stated, but if you are comparing a mecha anime like code geass to an anime like school days then that really shows the lack of knowledge you have on anime........
