Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip - A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul

Dec 5, 2020

Great to watch right after the events of Season 2: a very casual, normal, funny episode with the same quality you'd expect of any normal, non-dramatic episode of Mob Psycho.  It's nothing special, but it's a good episode and fits right in with the series and I personally appreciated having a 'normal' episode to wind down after the big finale of Season 2.

Back Street Girls -GOKUDOLS-

Nov 8, 2019

This had a lot of potential for laughs, and I'll admit I laughed a lot for the first half of the first episode just because of how funny and unexpected it was.  However, the original premise was not enough to carry the whole anime between extremely lazy animation and audio that was very hard to understand in the english dub (and the subtitles were white on white almost constantly) (I was watching it on Netflix) and while it had a lot of potential- it was a lot of disappointment to me as a whole.  Possibly because to me, it was a let down.  The manga might be better, so I might try that, but I... Recovery of an MMO Junkie

Oct 31, 2019

I'll admit, I misread the tags and focused on the summary, but apparently the 'worlds changing' was not, in fact, a fantasy spin on video games becoming reality and it just meant some chick flick style romance.  Not my cuppa.  Really seriously not my thing.  I still liked it decently enough and will probably finish it later, but halfway through it, I realized- yeah.  This is not going the way I was expecting.  Was expecting some sorta reverse-Overlord/SAO type of thing and forced-trans stuff from characters.  Not what I got.  But, it's still not a bad anime.

Quan Zhi Gao Shou

Sep 30, 2019

Drama!  Action!  Grown adults acting like children on Xbox Live!  Yeah, not quite, but Quan Zhi Gao Shou is close enough.  This anime is basically ‘what gamers think they look like when they play online games’ with a lot of unneeded dramatization between zoomed in hands typing rapidly on a keyboard and intense mouse clicking.  The art is highly rendered in most places, to the point of looking like a photograph, but left neglected in other areas, and the animation suffers for it.  There are copious amounts of McDonalds placement ads everywhere (can tell who funded... Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro

Jul 30, 2019

First of all, I would like to say I lied in my watch count.  I have not watched this 7 times.  I've watched this 7 times since I've started counting, but I watched it a lot more when I was younger!  This movie is a great stand alone, I've never seen the series it's attached to or any other movies related to Lupin III, but this film does a great job explaining things just by showing.  Characters you instantly feel for, solid art for the time, lots of emotion, and great laughs!  I wouldn't tag this seinen, because it's seriously for all ages, male or female.  I typically shy... School Babysitters

May 30, 2019

So I loved the manga, and was thrilled to watch the anime.  And it's great!  I would honestly recommend it to anyone who loves babies!  Unfortunately, it's a tiny bit too realistic in the sense that when babies/toddlers cry?  Oh wow, ear-rape.  Hence the 2/10 for sound.  I do however love the OP and ED so that's why it isn't straight up a 1 lol.   The rest of it was fabulous, no complaints.  But gosh, I get enough crying irl, I don't need it in an anime where I can't soothe the babies myself.
