The Apothecary Diaries is not only being animated, but getting two cours (24-26 eps.)

I love anything with relatable characters and beautiful art. My favorite genres are wide ranging; from kawaii to mature, violence to comedy, romance to thriller, and everything in between and every combination. My most favorite anime and manga are those I can enjoy again and again.
I'm really quite a simple person. I like what I like, and don't need a manga or anime to make me ponder the meaning of life or purpose of the universe. I'm not a top critic who will pick at every little thing in a story. I don't mind tropes; show me a manga or anime, or any story that does not have at least one or some. I don't hate an overused plot, as long as it isn't boring.
💖 I LOVE: great soundtracks, character development, relatable characters, good tragedy, and a good stupid laugh.
💩 I HATE: explicit sex, anything rapey, biological incest, over-used foul language, politics, or whiney characters.
PET PEEVES: Toxic romantic relationships (drop him/her like a rock and run), breasts so big they have their own gravitational pull, panty shots, and huge, gaping, really dumb plot holes. If I can drive Truck-Kun through it, I don't want to watch it (except Bungo Stray Dogs. They get a pass.).

Generic, too predictable, smutty, rapey, plot holes, bad writing, annoying characters, overused, stupid plot devices, weird or just bad art, boring.
"MEH" (Average Ratings) 4.6 - 8.0 or ⭐⭐ 1/2 - ⭐⭐⭐ "Well, I finished it."
Generic, predictable, too ecchi, annoying characters, plot holes, boring.
I WANT MORE (Good Ratings) 8.1 - 10.0 or ⭐⭐⭐1/2 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I gotta buy this to have it forever!"
Love the characters, sexy not ecchi, suspenseful, fresh, intreguing, funny, endearing, atmospheric, great detail, moving, or surprising.
I don't want to be one of those reviewers that hate everything. Some otakus can really fall in love with a certain character, or really enjoy a show that others think is really bad and use every nasty expletive they know to crap all over it.
Everyone likes something different. And it's all cool.

As of October 2023, my beloved RightStuf Anime was bought by Crounchyroll. I have only bought from them once so far since they changed ownership. So far, so good. A great place to buy anime, manga, figures, light novels, and merch.

Yup. I keep my eyes peeled for auctions on anime. I've saved quite a bit on anime, but half of the manga listed there is a rip off. Why pay $25 for a manga when it's $10 on Crunchyroll for new? Mind your wallets.

Oh, I'm glad to hear that. My family bought some stuff and I've been planning to decorate my home before Christmas.
I agree with you. I did see the trailer for the newest season of Black Butler though. I'm kinda curious that I haven't seen many shinigami, but Grell and Ronald have a special place in my heart. I just hope I'm looking forward to the Emerald Witch arc next. Not only would I get Grell, William, and the German shinigami, but Alan and Eric make a quick appearance.
As for Hanako-kun, I have no idea Nene is going to become a 8th wonder, too 🧐 :)

As for recommendations, you mentioned loving beautiful art. So I think you might this one anime I watched a while back. It's called The Solitary Castle in the Mirror. It's a movie about 7 kids discovering a place where their wishes will be granted. The characters can be relatable.
One of my favourites is My Roommate is a Cat. It's about a writer adopting a kitten for the first time. I enjoyed it. I think you might too, if you're a cat person.
If you enjoy reverse harem, you may watch Magic kyun! Renaissance. I can't really remember the plot because its been a while since I watched that anime.
I also read tons of manga of various genres. So you can ask for specific type of manga recommedations from me if you want. I'd try my best to help.
