A light isikai is about trying to live in a new world
A dark isikai is dealing with the trama of your past life, and that you can't run away.
Isikai is inherently slightly twisted and dark, at least in its original form.
But with progenitors like minshuku Tensei what do you expect.
Here's what I think about the promised Neverland season 2 so far. It skips a lot, but what it does show is shown beautifully and with impact. You can feel them trying to make it as good as possible even though they had to skip a lot. It's sad that they had to get through so much with so little time. Why do a recap episode?.
Oh and the communist allegory is a nice touch.
Edit: ok episode 10 and the first half of 11 were great, but what was with that slide show at the end???? AHH LIKE, 12 episodes in 2 min and only photos. WHAT DA FUK.
You know if a show is good if it can do one of two things.
1. It asks you a question about you/society or something else/teaches you a new session that you can take to heart
2. Can take you on a journey that changes you for the better and invokes new emotions within you while you are sucked into it enough that you remember it after it's over, and can make you relate or at least understand all the characters, even the ones you don't like.
