Dragonar Academy

Apr 13, 2014

By far one of the most generic fantasy animes that I have ever had the displeasure of starting. With the way it is going, it seems more like a parody of the cliches in fantasy animes than an actual show in itself. Two epsiodes and you already have: dense boy, random tsundere princess, magic, a highschool, a magical highschool, barely legal loli, dragons, barely legal semi-dragon loli, panties, string panties, big boobs, generic masked effiminate evil mastermind, a tournament etc.

Story This show can't decide which other fantasy series it wants to copy more from. So far it resembles the Familiar... See full review

Magical Warfare

Feb 20, 2014

Oh look! A show on magic and wizards and instantly over-powered highschool brats! Gosh we never see those in the anime world anymore. Its like everyone these days is just trying to make awesome animes with a decent story and interesting characters. It sickens me. We truly needed another cliched magic-related anime with questionable character development, a protagonist who thinks with his ass more than his brain, and an innocent yet dense female protagonist who exists solely to serve as the madien in distress.
Story If you were to choose one person from our world to send into a different world which... See full review

Infinite Stratos 2

Dec 21, 2013

Intern: Sir, the last season was well recieved by many, but I believe we added in too many characters.

Producer: *Burp* Waaa....? Naw kid, you've got al..*hic*ot to learn. We need moar boobs, panties and girls, and less IQ, character development and content.  Intern: But sir, we already have 5 girls, we don't have space for anymor.... Producer: Shuut yer trap imbecile. We haven't covered all the cliches yet. Yo writers...add in the moar girls RIGHT NOW!

And that my fellow anime enthusiasts is how I imagine the meeting for the second season production went. Apparently our dear... See full review

High School DxD NEW

Nov 13, 2013

Every male tweenager's wet dream... a mixture of tits, mythology, school life, tits, girls, more tits, panties, tits, crappy protagonist and of course, boobs. The existence of this anime proves that there is a legion of moral hating people (who have yet to leave their rebellious teenager phase) paying money so studious can churn out pieces of work like Highschool DxD New.  Yeah yeah i know the diehard fans will hate me for the score, but hey its true. Get your hands out of your pants for a few minutes and then read this review. Story The premise of the main story was one which was full of... See full review

Yumekuri

Mar 5, 2013

A short review for a really short "anime"

Story Its multiple cliches brought to life. There really is no story to go along. The story section got a 1 instead of a zero only because it managed to impress me with the way it crammed so many cliches into 4 minutes of showtime. I mean wow, It usually takes other animes around 3-5 episodes to present cliches this "anime" managed in a minute or two. Animation Although not spectacular, it was the best aspect of this "anime". Comparatively the animation, colors and detail were average at best but once the other components of... See full review

The Familiar of Zero F

Mar 19, 2012

How disappointing. One of the best series turned into a cheesy tweenage harem romance. It started out strong, with a good dose of sexual humor to lighten the mood and reacquaint viewers with the main characters, along with their uncanny ability to fall into questionable perverted moments. If real life could have even half the awkward boob grab moments in this series, boys would hit puberty around the age of 8. Story: So this series picks off where the last one left. The imposter king of Gallia plots to destroy Romalia or whatever the name was of that city. Saito, Liouse, and the rest must stop his evil... See full review

Vandread

Sep 24, 2011

Big robots and boobage, half of any good story. In that regard, you won't find Vandread lacking. It has plenty of jiggling delights as well as shiny robots going at each other. One thing i particularly liked about it was that they don't advertise the ecchi. If it happens, it happens but the producers don't go out of their way to make a girl fall into a questionable position just so we can get some eye candy. That makes the ecchiness all the more wonderful.   Story As far as the plot for this anime goes, it is quite creative. Instead of the generic dark vs light scenario we usually get in mecha... Shiki Specials

Sep 18, 2011

There are two ways to look at this anime. Together, in addition with the original Shiki series, or alone. Does it matter which way you choose? Not really since this series is the spitting image of all that ever held the title of pure awesome.   Story This DVD Special tells the story of the whole Shiki series from the view points of a few minor characters. However, Shiki specials covers mainly the aftermath of the vampire epidemic. It tells the story from the perspective of the vampires as they are being hunted down and  ruthlessly killed. The story of this small, two episodes series manages to... See full review

Claymore

Dec 31, 2010

There are already many reviews on "Claymore" but i just had to express my views on it. Let me start by saying this anime was extremely disappointing. It started out really strong, with a solid base and a great promise for the future but somewhere along the middle, it literally decomposed  to a pile of mush.   Story In a world full of blood-thirsty, human eating monsters called Yoma, an organization was created with the aim to kill all of these creatures before they could destroy humanity. The method was to inject the blood (or flesh) of the monsters into "volunteers" who... See full review

Dante's Inferno

Dec 21, 2010

For those who don't know, this is an anime on the game with the same name. Because of that, the storyline was a carbon copy of the game itself, with little or no change. This makes the anime both a spoiler for those who haven't played the actual game, and predicatable for those who have finished the game.   Story: As i mentioned, it is a copy of the story from the game. A crusader commander (Dante) realized after returning home from the Holy Lands, his whole family had been murdered amd that his beloved had sold herself to the devil in a bid that Dante would not break the promise he... Madlax

Apr 29, 2010

A marvelous blend government conspiracy, occult agenda, and action with a pinch of philosophy...more like a handful actually. Reminds me of the world we live in, they have their "Enfont" and we have our "Illuminati" When i first decided to watch this, it was disappointing because i saw it in the recommendations of Black Lagoon and in my mind was an image of a trigger-happy, Revy like chick with a taste for guns. The disappointment was more like a shock when i found the series to be more of a "thinker" than "mindless shooting". That disappointment further settled in... See full review

Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase

Apr 23, 2010

What a ride. This anime is quite different from many others (or at least the ones i watch). But let me say something beforehand: NEVER is it OK to put a child in the place of a much older girl.... First of all the cuteness was absolutely disgusting. I was jaw-dropped when i first saw the intro of this show. I have watched some pretty gruesome things in my life but never have i ever been so appalled. They had everything from "cute" fairies who speak all like "I'm sowwi mastah" to little girls in adorable cat suits. I'm not sure they left out ANYTHING that they didn't make the girls... Samurai Champloo

Apr 13, 2010

A few times in your life you stumble upon a masterpiece which makes you forget about the brain dead boring animes you have been forcing yourself to watch during the past few days... Samurai Champloo is one such anime for me. Even though there were lose ends, i absolutley loved it. It is one of the precious few series in which the ending was to my liking. Though confusing and unrealistic at some points, it is more than a mere "must watch".   Story As far as the story goes, it is pretty simple. This girl named Fuu meets two samurai in a coffee shop and convinces them to help her find a... See full review

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World

Mar 26, 2010

Cute girls, sleeping monsters, silly robot with a pinch of action...typical. It is enjoyable and you can grow to love the characters (considering the short 12 episodes). The story was nothing special and actually quite common in the world of anime. Two lucky boys find a pair of helpless, cute girls in the middle of the woods and vow to protect them from danger. Personally i find those type of things quite stupid. The boy never met this girl before and after a single monster attack, promises "never to let anything happen" to this girl.   Story The plot was dry and... See full review
