Season 4 continues with the same formula that has been successful for Haikyuu!! the last few seasons, a bigger goal, bigger challenges, more hardwork and more volleyball goodness! After defeating the undefeated powerhouse Shiratorizawa Academy to win the Spring Tournament qualifiers, the boiz of the Karasuno High Volleyball Team are now on their way to Spring Nationals but as they prepare, Kageyama has been invited to a special training camp leaving Hinata feeling left behind, so Hinata forces himself into another select rookie camp.
This season we get to see familiar faces and new faces, Haikyuu!! always does a great job with their characters and it's no different here. I think this season though was very important for Shoyo Hinata as a player as it helped instill the basics of volleyball into him which helps him progress past his limitations and not always depending on Kageyama. Tobio Kageyama contiues to shine though, showing off more of his potential during his training camp as well giving him a peek at the new competiion thats yet to come at Nationals.
Now the one thing that was quite notable to some this season was the slight change in the animation and art style, I did realise they aren't doing some of the stuff they were doing in the previous seasons that I really liked which is a bummer but everything else is still excellent. The voice acting is great, the sound team continue to do a awesome job and the soundtrack is still beautifully composed. Overall this season doesn't reach the height of the previous for obvious reasons but it still manages to grasp what makes Haikyuu!! an incredibly enjoyable watch.
+ Conisistant Story.
+ Hinata Development.
+ Great Voice Acting.
