Little bit about me:
I am currently seventeen and am studying Chemistry, Biology, Tudor History and French for my AS (Key Stage 5) subjects at a grammar school in the south of England. I enjoy my subject choices, my particular passion being for history of any era (with the exception of the 20th and 21st centuries, four years of studying Stalin was quite enough for me, cheers). I learn Japanese as a side thing and my lessons will, sadly, come to an end soon but I was struck by how much easier a language it is to learn than French, Spanish or Latin which I have all studied so I am thinking of pursuing it properly later on.
I take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award and will soon be departed on my expedition in the Lake District. I enjoy most sports but in particular badminton, swimming, hockey, rugby and cricket.
In terms of personality I would suggest you think of the stereotypical Englishman from the 1940s, a man who:
If you imagine this then you pretty much have me, although being a short, thin blond boy does somewhat dampen the image but never mind that!
Anime is one of my many tastes which include music (mostly stuff from last century with a few exceptions from this one), films, books, sports, gaming, writing, socialising etc. I tend to prefer series that are oh so very moral because that's something that Western TV programmes are missing: Morality. That and most TV shows aimed at my age group kill of my brain cells (seriously, watching Glee/X Factor/Skins etc causes small parts of my soul to shrivel and die).
I write a few fanfictions now and then to rid myself of that extra creativity which plagues some people. These are almost exclusively based on anime, in particular CardCaptor Sakura because it has always been my favourite series of all time. If there was a remake of it with the same cast closer to the manga I would die a deleriously happy man.
That 'bout wraps it up. I'm foreseeing a good/fun time here already.
