This was a promising manga: solid plot, well thought-out characters and effort was obviously put into the story. However, as promising as it was at the start, I feel as if was rushed and some parts felt like there was supposed to be backstory but it just kind of...happened.
Perhaps you've heard the rumour that the author was sued by Arifureta, and that why the ending was so rushed. I did feel like the manga was unfinished, so I simply choose to ignore the last chapters. The only real similarity between this story and Arifureta is the eating of monster meat (wow, so original) to gain stats/skills, etc.
In the end, this manga is worth reading, if only to explore different facets of the genre.
