Bodacious Space Pirates

Bodacious Space Pirates: Anime Review
Originally a Light Novel by: Yūichi Sasamoto
26 Episodes and a Movie (Completed) I could not get enough of this anime, probably didn’t help that most episodes end on a cliffhanger. The Japanese translation was originally, “Miniskirt Space Pirates.” Which to me is a better translation. When you hear the word bodacious you typically thing big boobies! Yes, I said that like a silly kindergartner and yes for clarification I am a woman. Anyway… the story is not a boob anime or full of gratuitous fan service. It’s actually a very... See full review

I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job.

Oct 15, 2019

Written by Jun Sakyou and illustrated by Masaki Inuzumi
Orignally a light novel
Last Aired in 2013
12 Episodes plus an Ova (completed) Overall Rating: ★★★★★ I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job. For me with a title like that, I had high expectations for this anime and it did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, it went beyond those expectations and brought one of the most original plots and lovable characters of any anime I have seen this year. Plot: ★★★★★
The story revolves around a young man... See full review

DARLING in the FRANXX

Oct 15, 2019

Darling in the Franxx Anime Review
24 – Episodes aired in 2018 (Completed) Overall Rating: ★★★★ Set in a Dystopian future where adults live in large, domed, mobile cities called Plantations and children are raised to fight using mechs against Monsters. This is truly a roller-coaster of emotions where we find hardships, romance, comedy and the undying will to survive. Plot: ★★★
It is hard for me not to give the plot four stars but as I will explain in a bit, certain things are not explained or rushed to the point where the story can at times be... See full review

Gosick

Gosick Anime Review: (SPOILERS)
Initially a light novel series by Kazuki Sakuraba
Adapted into an anime by Bones Inc.
24 Episodes originally aired in 2011 Overall Rating: ★ ★ ★ If you’re wondering Gosick is derived from the Japanese word Goshikku which means gothic. The series is set in a prestigious academy, in a fictional European country shortly after the first world war. The main characters are much like Sherlock Homes and Watson. The first being an eccentric young girl (Victorique) who spends most of her time in a library and helps her detective... See full review

Akiba's Trip: The Animation

Oct 15, 2019

To anime lovers this has the antics and animation of Kill la Kill and the crazy over the top scenarios of Gurren Lagann and/or FLCL. If you have no idea what I am talking about then in short, this is without a doubt one of the most over the top, hilarious, animes out there. Plot: ★★★★★ The series revolves around Tamotsu Denkigai and his sister Niwaka who are shopping in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan. Suddenly, without warning, vampiric monsters known as “Bugged Ones” run rampant throughout the city. These creatures can possess anyone by biting them, and soon they... See full review
