i went into this so incredibly excited, but i could not be more disappointed. First of all the show and it's concepts have SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL. The plot: Giorno is Dio's son, and we see him with a picture of dio at the beginning, we also learn that his hair turned blonde one day because of Dio's energy, plus the fact that giorno himself has an incredibly powerful stand. and Giorno has a goal to defeat the boss of a mafia organization and take it over, to stop dangerous drug deals and unecessary violence and tragedy. -This could've been the setup for something absolutely amazing, however instead it feels... criminally overrated. i'm not gonna say much but to sum it up: a repetitive plothole filled mess which has 40 episodes of absolute bullshit which adds nothing to the story. those 40 episodes feel like fillers and tbh i'm mad that i took the time to watch them:
-bad guy shows up at the start of the episode or the gang (99% polnareff) does something stupid and gets themselves in a ---bad situation with the bad guy;
-the gang (most of the time only 1 person at a time is fighting the enemy because fuck teamwork) gets beaten up for an episode or 2;
-dude who was getting beat up at the end of the... See full review
this is less of an anime and more of a compilation of stereotypes;; incredibly cheesy and shallow characters which are not unique in any way and are copies of the most common anime tropes out there.
straight forward cliche white-knight protagonist which has almost everything going for him and always shouts "the power of friendship ! !" which gets him out of any and all inconvenient situations and makes everyone around him stare in awe and admiration, instantly worshipping him:
the classic rival character which has a weak ass reason to be a rival in the first place;

i tried to watch it, i really did. but i just couldn't keep it up because of how slow the plot was, almost every episode was the same thing, new character gets introduced, and by the end of the episode is either dead or gone. it felt so repetitive and pointless, all these new characters coming and going added nothing to the plot. they didnt really impact casshern, they didnt really change anything. it felt like the majority of those episodes were just fillers. ofc there were characters that stayed and came back but even so, not much happened. i skipped ahead to the last few episodes and i really didnt feel... The story is kind of weak, but it's not a serious anime that's very plot oriented, the fans are expected to have listened to the drama cds/read the manga to be able to get a better outlook on the story. My favourite part is undoubtedly the characters, are all very unique, amazing designs, great voices, great personalities, and very hard to dislike. The music did sometimes have bad points however there are many great tracks. Overall it's an enjoyable anime where you can just sit back and take in the songs and have... See full review
