I also like both animes too, and together with Akame ga kill, Guilty Crown, and a few others, they could be ranked higher if not for certain actions that were not to my liking. :/
Yeah, Angel Beats is one of my favs because it makes me laugh and makes me cry. Any anime that can make me do those two things deserves a place in my heart. ^^
