yeah I agree. second season is a little bit better somehow. I think it's the last arc; the fact that they developed a single in-depth story in 6 episodes.
I completely understand what you mean about watching completed series. I like being able to watch at my own pace, but I also don't mind waiting for an episode a week for ongoing stuff. I'm comfortable both ways. I'm glad you're watching Toonami! I watched it religiously when I was younger and it's great to have it back. I leave it on every Saturday night even though I'm not following any of the shows it's currently airing, although I will be watching IGPX once they begin airing it.
Slam Dunk is something I've been looking forward to. I'm not sure when I'll be starting it yet, but what do you think of it so far?
I usually watch two completed shows of the same length along with one lengthy episode show (30+ episodes) at the same time. Right now I'm watching Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Midori Days while trying to catch up to One Piece (I'm only on episode 41 right now). I have a few OVAs on the side, plus I always pick up a lot of ongoing series from each season too. I regret not watching One Piece earlier because now I have over 500 episodes to watch. It's pretty fun so far, but lately I haven't felt like watching it much. At least it will keep me busy for a while.
