Citrus

Mar 18, 2018

Citrus is fortunately not your avarage yuri show. The characters go through wider range of problematics than their love relationship. Family matters and also their point of view in terms of way of living and following rules are highly implied on. Dilemmas like "Do I like her as my sister or as a lover" really put something fresh into the genre.

These unique elements are the only thing making the show better, it's going only downhill from now on. Author seems to be not so creative as from resolving even the first problem the characters go through on their own, we are introduced with... See full review

Restaurant to Another World

Jul 21, 2017

Isekai Shokudou is a show about Japan's cuisine ego.

There is a restaurant that opens it's door only once in 7 days in various dimensions.

I am highly enthusiastic when it comes to time, dimensions, space, etc and if I started nitpicking on how wrong this system the show is portraying sounds, it would totally kill the great fantasy feeling.

The show says that it connects different worlds but it all seems like fantasymagicfuckery... I have yet to see some space cowboys.

Every person, or rather said, being gets it's little story behind him. There is this dragon queen, knight on the... See full review

Netsuzou Trap

Jul 21, 2017

Not sure who wrote the synopsis but it goes more like this.

Girl 1 asks Girl 2 for double date, they go together, instead of being love-dovey with their boyfriends, G2 molests G1, they decide to go to the toilet together where it just gets more intense. And this same scenario of sub-rape follows probably the whole season (dropped at ep1)

First of all, I think I speak for most of us yuri lovers when I say that we like the innocence in the act. Even cutesy one-sided kiss on the cheek is a balm on the heart. But this shit is straight up police material.

Not to mention that it's... See full review

Aho-Girl

Jul 10, 2017

Glad to join the reviewers who have nothing to say other than "funny", there is a comment section for that.

If anyone is looking for an actual review...

Aho Girl is a show featuring Yoshiko, a girl with IQ less than a monkey's and A-kun a straight-man guy (trope not sexuality) of which we never have enough of (ey shinpachi).

A-kun is always taking care of Yoshiko despite her crazyness and overall idiocy.

The premise is fun but, not sure if it's just not my cup of banana but Yoshiko is more annoying than funny, her overreactions are more of a reason to punch the... See full review

Urara Meirochou

Jan 8, 2017

First episode review Urara Meirochou is a show about girls or rather a city where girls come to train as fortune tellers. Our MC, a lively character type, lived in a wild for god knows how long, she got an invitation to train as Urara (fortune teller) but mainly came to the city to find her mother. Story almost worth a disney's sign of approval. But... With her comes forced and stupid fanservice. To invoke a pheromone inducing scene she somehow somewhere learned that to apologize she has to show her belly
Side note: Stomach area in japan is all the way to under-nipple area
Which... See full review

Occultic;Nine

Occultic;Nine

The latest child of the Semi;Colon family brings cults, magic and what not into the mostly sci-fi house.

Now how is the Semi;Colon family living...

Everyone goes to school, Stein-kun is the most popular and educated student, Chaos-senpai will soon graduate, Robotics-san tries her best to have better grades while Occultic keeps meeting with his friend A1Pics who manipulates him into doing no good, doesn't respect his teachers, paints grafitti (the bad looking ones, not the masterpieces) and also is hyperactive.

Everytime Occultic talks to you, your head starts... See full review

Time Travel Girl

Time Travel Grill Girl

TTG is about a high-school girl (who else in this era) which lives with her mother in a pastry shop whilst her dad on a work or journey or something. Later on when her friend comes over in search of knowledge about cakes, her necklace which was given to her by her dad, starts to shine and she gets teleported into the past.

So far the idea was normal, and would stay normal if the MC would move into an old pastry shop to learn the ancient dough reciepe and eventually make an ultimate cake with her friend...

But no... oh boy how we were wrong...

She... See full review

Hitori no Shita: The Outcast

Jul 21, 2016

Story begins quite decently. Drunk accidentaly wanders off to the graveyard where he witnesses someone digging up a corpse and then misteriously making all graves fall like dominos.

Then we meet MC who's grandfather was on that graveyard as he learns from a policeman that his remains were stolen and that his unknown sister was here before him.

He goes to the ruined cemetery only to find out that someone is digging the graves again.

He tried to get the evidence of the gravedigger but was found. He ran like hell but the mysterious girl cought up to him and smacked him with the... See full review

Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta

Jun 7, 2016

In my review I will be comparing Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta and it's predeccesor Yozakura Quartet. At first I thought HnU was a continuation yet it was a reboot... kind of. The first that put me off of HnU was the moeization of characters. I need to say that I was literally scared of watching it because I would lost hope in Japan for making these... monsters. Not seeing the great not so quality rich DRRR-ish style animation was frightening but with different style animation came quality. I must say HnU is very well animated even though it doesn't seem as serious from first look as previous... See full review
