So I actually got people on a Discord to do watchparties for Project ARMS and they ended up enjoying the anime alot. Though they do agree that the 2nd Season wasn't as good as the 1st since alot of stuff from the Manga didn't get adapted and some story elements changed, let alone the Cel Animation being ditched for badly drawn digipaint. They liked most of the characters, especially Hayato Shingu and Yugo Gilbert. But most of them did not cared for Katsumi Akagi, they called her a boring plot device given she spends most of the series kidnapped and before then tagged along to dangerous places even when Ryo told her not to come along, to the point they started shipping Ryo with Yugo. They also praised the English dub which was done by Ocean Group back when they used to dub anime for Viz Media. For the funny adlibs they got away with as well as many of the performances like the late Kirby Morrow as Ryo Takatsuki and Brian Drummond as Hayato. I also got to show them the very hard to find OVA that teases the Final Manga Arc, but was in Japanese with Korean subs due to it's obscurity and it ends on a "Icy" Cliffhanger.
So I learned last night that a voice actor named Billy Kametz just died at age 35 from Stage 4 Colon Cancer. He was the English VA for Josuke Higaishikata.
As well as Naofumi from Rise of the Shield Hero, White Blood Cell from Cells At Work, Galo Thymos from Promare, Rui in Demon Slayer, Takuto Maruki from Persona 5 Royal, Nenji Ogata in 13 Sentinels, Lena Dauman in Deadly Premonition 2, and Ferdinand Von Aegir from Fire Emblem Three Houses.
Just finished Season 1 of Project ARMS with the Discord Watch Party. And Everyone gave it a 7/10. Calling it a Guilty Pleasure with one of the Funniest dubs they ever heard. Even though they found the 1st couple episodes a drag to get through. One of them made these Caption Parodies where he added in Gag subtitles over certain screenshots. However we did votes to watch another show before we'll give the 2nd Season a watch and we ended up watching this old series called "The Daichis: Earth Defense Family" which is like The Simpsons if they were a Super Sentai Team. Basically the Dad signed a Contract that dictates the Family must protect Earth from Giant Aliens.
Also Microsoft just bought Activision-Blizzard for $68 Billion US dollars.
