Fate/Zero

Dec 26, 2017

As someone who has not previously watched anything related to the Fate franchise, I went into Fate/Zero with no expectations. I knew of the popularity and praise for Fate/Zero on its own, however it never caught my attention and never became something I wanted to prioritize; for whatever reason, it didn't give me a good vibe. Now, having completed the first season, I can safely say that my vibe was correct in steering me away.
Fate/Zero has a lot to offer. A war for a mystic object, the Holy Grail, is happening, and magic-wielding contestants are given the ability to summon legendary heroes to do their... See full review

Miyori no Mori

Jan 3, 2017

Miyori no Mori is an extremely simple, yet welcomed addition to the ever growing library of anime surrounding youkai and the countryside of Japan. It’s a fantastical adventure, with eleven-year-old Miyori as the heroine. Forced to move to her grandparents’ countryside village after her parents divorced, she wanders off into a grand forest only to meet a colorful and friendly group of youkai. The story may... See full review

Maid-sama!

Dec 27, 2016

The plot summary might sound somewhat generic, but Kaichou wa Maid-sama has something to offer. The seemingly perfect and responsible student council president, Ayuzawa, rules what once was an all-boys high school. She strives to make it a safe and fun experience for what few female students attend the school, thus the girls look up to her, while the boys show disdain and disrespect to her for scolding and punishing them for any rowdy behavior. Regardless, her great vigor and passion for her work is known by everyone. However, she holds what she views as a massively embarrassing secret: to help... See full review

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou: Quiet Country Cafe

Dec 25, 2014

Secret Santa 2014 Review Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou: Quiet Country Cafe is a pretty simple show. It revolves around a seemingly normal and gentle young girl named Alpha who just happens to be an android. She owns a tiny cafe, and although it doesn't see very many customers, she enjoys her day-to-day life. However, her cafe is soon destroyed by a typhoon that hits her area. With not much left, the girl decides to set out on an adventure to view other parts of the country.  The first thing I have to mention about Yokohama is that there's very little dialogue; it's all about the feeling and mood of...
