Joseph Kirby is a young, aspiring, and brilliant writer. He attends Denison University in Granville, Ohio on a full-tuition scholarship, where he majors in both English and biology. He intends to matriculate into medical school while continuing his work in composition. Ultimately, he has expressed a desire to have similar career paths as great authors and doctors like Atul Gawande and Michael Crichton.

Joseph is a published poet. His eloquent book, entitled Poetic Pondering: A Transcendental Odyssey, was published during his junior year of high school and is available for sale on Amazon.com. Although he has been a writer all of his life, Joseph truly developed his write essay online abilities during his high school career, which is evidenced in the numerous national and local scholarships he garnered during his senior year. Joseph is a National Coca-Cola Scholar, a National Got Milk? Scholar-Athlete, a recipient of the National Society of High School Scholars Scholarship, a recipient of the National Principal's Leadership Award Scholarship, and the National Cargill Community Scholarship.

Joseph's success has continued into college, where he has made the Dean's List both of his first two semesters at Denison, earning a 3.96 GPA. He is an elected representative of the student body in the Denison Campus Governance Association, is an executive board member of Denison's Habitat for Humanity, is the treasurer for Denison's Sustained Dialogue, is a tour guide for the college, is a resident assistant, is a student tutor, and is a member of the fraternity "Reddit Pay for Homework".

Joseph is currently completing a research internship at the Cleveland Clinic, where he researches the spine and concussions in an orthopedics lab.

Joseph fills his leisure time by reading, playing sports, working out, writing an essay, and volunteer work. He possesses a voracious, inquisitive mind that endeavors upon improving the world and inspiring others to do the same.
