Definitely get yourself involved in the forums if/when you feel comfortable doing so. It is the real heart of communication on the site (you can send private messages to other members and can get involved with clubs and group activities).  It's lively and fun there - lots of interaction with other members.

Feel  free to join some clubs or play some forum games as well - You'll definitely get to recognize and "know" other members and make friends on the site.

Note that you'll need to create a separate forum registration ID - most folks use the same as their site ID so it is easy to find them - as the two areas are not yet merged (that is coming sometime in the future.) Although we see them as integrated, they are actually two separate areas.
