You said: Dare to say, I like consecutive holidays in May.

Are you refering to Golden Week? (I was looking into traveling to Japan for hanami/cherry-blossom viewing) and most guidebooks warn about traveling to Japan too close to Golden Week due to the large numbers of native Japanese who have vacation time then.)

What's your favorite Japanese holiday?

Your English is fine! If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask me.

Hi! I am more than happy to exchange cultural notes with you! I would be overjoyed to be able to do so! *big smile*

I'm glad to share what I can about my country and American society and way-of-life. What would you like to discuss first?

I can start the ball rolling: My profile mentions that I was born on the Fourth of July. This is significant in the U.S. because it is a national holiday celebrating Independence Day - a celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. (This was a historical document which announced that the thirteen American colonies, then at war with Great Britain, regarded themselves as 13 newly independent sovereign states, and no longer a part of the British Empire. Instead they formed a new nation—the United States of America. )

It is an annual event commemorating the anniversary of the country's assumption of independent statehood from Great Britain. It is celebrated by most people having the day off form work to gather with friends to have barbeques and picnics, ending in a night viewing a local fireworks display.

(I hope my English is understandable to you - it would be very bad if I had to try to describe this in Japanese. My knowlege of your language is still rudimentary at best. If I need to adjust the difficulty, I can try to make things more easy/simple for you to interpret...)
