Sup everybody. I'm Calvin but you can call me Vin or whatever the heck floats your boat; I'm a complete sucker for retro anime, obv including Lupin the Third as you may have guessed by the name lol. I originally made this profile when I was in the middle of being gay af for Jigen, now I'm just plain gay👌 (with occasionally revisits back to Lupin). I'm an out-of-practice animator in my late 20s, I cosplay as a hobby, and as far as anime stuff goes I like old stuff, stuff with good character designs (if the characters have the same faces I prolly won't be able to get into it), stuff with fantastic writing/storytelling, and occasionally stuff with hot characters that are my type lmao (that's how I get into most newer anime ngl lol).

Favorite genres are adventure, mecha, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. I admittedly do have a soft spot for magical girl anime, and occasional shoujo stuff that catches my interest (Ore Monogatari is a good example of one that hooked me). Also, got any horror anime as good as Shiki? Send it my way!!

Important note: This is a no-moe household. Keep them uggo potato children away from me lol

Favorite anime are Lupin, Big O, Zatch Bell, Baccano, Yu Yu Hakusho, Jojo (especially part 3, not including part 5), and probably others I can't remember rn. Favorite movie of all time is Castle in the Sky. Favorite ships include Jigen and Goemon from Lupin, Galo and Lio from Promare, Avdol and Polnareff from Jojo, and tons of others (if you want to break the ice with me, a fun question is asking who I ship in a specific anime). I'm not as social on here now as in prior years but feel free to say hi and talk about an anime we both like!

Also if any of you out there play RGG Studio games hmu, I'm on Lost Judgment's Kaito Files (started at Like a Dragon 0 and went through numerically, then to the Judgments, and Ishin was my first RGG pre-order) and it quickly became one of my all time favorites (are Ichiban and Majima the most perfect men ever created? Perhaps, but also like half the RGG cast are pretty perfect ngl)

Notable Milestones: 100th Watched Anime --> Rage of Bahamut Genesis (Kaisar is pretty yo, esp with his hair down)

~200th Watched Anime --> Space Dandy Season 1 (actual 200th was Way of the HouseHusband but that show is NOT animated pretty lol so have these instead)

5: I AM IN LOVE

4.5: Hot damn this was super good and impressive

4: I squarely liked this! No big complaints

3.5: Pretty good

3: Meh, mostly liked, maybe a couple flaws, or not the typical kind of anime I enjoy but giving it the benefit of the doubt

2.5: Mmmmehhhh, still liked a bit but it had more glaring flaws

2: Ehh..I mean I don't really hate it, so it's got that going for it?

1.5: Urgh..maybe slightly enjoyed something about it but no thanks

1: Oh god no, don't like it

0.5: This legitimately wasted hours of my life away and it wasn't worth it, I'm almost insulted by its existence (only one thing currently has been dogshit enough to get this reaction from me :^))
