Plastic Memories

Nov 27, 2020

I don't need to explain everything in the story as everyone has already typed multiple paragraphs of essays to convey their thoughts. The story is predictible but it keeps you crying the whole way through due to the scatttered memories that pop up and make you remember "I can not imagine would it would be like to carry this burden...." The animation is great due to the stalling, the stalling shows the loneliness of Isla after the the mind tearing event years ago and after she warmed up to tsukasa. Just to clarify, if you seen the the translated words for Ring of Fortune (The opening song for the episodes), the words will summarize the whole story, all in one song, but can we also say how diverse the music is? Ranging from Isla not using the navigation system in the car and getting stuck in an alley way music, action packed chase scene of the wanderers, to the sad moments of never seeing Isla again. Finally the characters are just so diverse. There's timid, shy, and quirky Isla, mr. always-good-mood Tsukasa, drunk party guy Yusutaka, childlike carefree Zack, tries-to-fit-in-but-can't-hold-her-liquor-at-all Kazuki, the top grade former assasin Sherry, and more diverse characters. Overall there's not much I can't say. (To clarify, I cried so much because this was the first anime I ever watched. Don't watch this as your first anime if you cry from sad stories (me), have this as your first ever anime watched (me), and watching the whole series in the middle of the night in your room at 4 o clock AM (me).

9.7/10 story
