Sorry for the late response, I'm not here as often as I used to.

I watched a lot of old anime reruns when I was a kid, without knowing it was anime, including Dragon Ball & Z, Remi, Candy Candy, Gundam, Votoms, Nausicaa, Knights of the Zodiac, Cobra, Robotech, 
Tekkaman Blade and some others.

But it was around 2008 when I really started paying attention to anime and researching the animes that were an inspiration to my favorite directors, the first ones I watched like this were Death Note & Ghost in the Shell, and I was impressed, I had never seen anything like it, especially in terms of the quality of the story and the way it was presented. Netflix had already added a section for anime that although it was small, it had an excellent selection of animes at that time and I was hooked; completely addicted.

I signed up for this website when I completely lose track of what I had previously watched, I ended up picking animes that I had already watched and only realized after wasting time on the first episode. So it was out of necessity that I looked for something to keep track of all animes that I had watched (especially the bad ones, which I keep picking them again and again because you don't tend to remember bad animes). By the time I sign up, I remember that I added more than 3,000 titles and it took me several years to add everything that I had previously watched. This site is great to keep track of everything and keep lists of what you want to watch and your favorites.

I had tried to read manga, but it's not really my thing, I get bored quickly, although there are a few ones that I really want to read, like Berserk, but it's just not my ideal medium. There is so much to watch these days and so little time, that I ended up watching new animes. I really need the movement and sound to keep me interested. Besides, manga is usually just in black & white, so it's perhaps a matter of preference like how some people prefer to read a book and others to listen to audiobooks.

How about you? How did you get into anime?

ive rated it a 3 stars which is 6/10. cant really go higher due to its super slow paceing and lack of story development.
