Vampire in the Garden

May 28, 2022

Main Thoughts: Vampire in the Garden is an easy watch due to how many episodes there are. Yet the lack of episodes is the very thing that hinders it story wise and character wise.  Story: The story of Vampire in the Garden is predictable in hindsight but is still something someone can find enjoyable. It follows the characters Fine and Momo who have two completely different backgrounds. Fine from the vampire side of things and Momo from the human side. Through the backgrounds they come from may clash they find something in eachother. We then follow the two in an "us against the world" type... See full review

Argonavis from BanG Dream! Animation

Apr 14, 2021

Story: Argonavis follows Yuto Goryo and Wataru Matoba as they search for members for their band. Along the way, they come across Ren Nanahoshi in karaoke. Ren Nanahoshi is an extremely awkward college student who remembers the thrill and joy he felt when watching a band for the first time as a kid. Their journey then continues as they come across multiple people, whether it be new bandmates or rivals.  Argonavis is extremely cheesy and definitely not something to watch if you're not particularly into that. While watching Argonavis it was predictable and had certain plot points that seemed out of... See full review

Planetarian

Apr 4, 2021

Story: Planetarian is an emotional anime that follows our two main characters Hoshino Yumemi and Junker or Kuzuya. Hoshino Yumemi is a robot who's been left for 30 years at an abandoned planetarium, which she worked at. One day she gets visited in the planetarium and crosses paths with Kuzuya.  For how much Planetarian can fit into 5 episodes (each 18 minutes long) they do it extremely well. And is definitely the best short anime I've ever seen. What started off as something I'd find boring I end up being extremely wrapped in and watching episode after episode. At some parts it was boring and can... See full review

Iwakakeru! Sport Climbing Girls

Apr 1, 2021

Main Thoughts: Iwakakeru! Sport Climbing Girls is an anime that seems good, interesting, and unique (with a sport that’s not exactly the most commonly seen in anime) and a bearable storyline. This, in turn, leads up to a continuous downfall with the execution, mainly due to the fast-pacing of the story.  Story: The story in Iwakaeru! is definitely the weakest part throughout the anime. The pacing of all the episodes is extremely fast, they showcase this with multiple scenes throughout the episode. When showcasing this it’s done with terrible transitions that don’t exactly help... Run with the Wind

Mar 10, 2021

Run with the Wind is definitely an anime someone who isn't exactly big on sports anime can enjoy. Not only does it offer points in the story where they focus on the sport, but it also has a slice of life and drama aspect to it. It's a wonderful depiction of a "weak to strong" story and shows a group of people coming together quite well.  Throughout Run with the Wind it explores many topics that I haven't seen been explored in other sports animes which is what made the anime's story so compelling in the first place for me. The story starts out with a group of people who aren't exactly the... See full review
