I like action anime maybe a little bit of drama mixed in nothing too corny and nothing that gets repetitive.

By the way, another title I stumbled upon last weekend which might interest you.

Black Lagoon, even though I like the manga series more this one is also one of those rare gems in my book.

Hey man,

Thanks for your comment, I will try my best to answer your question. You're asking for something hard though, Berserk is one of those one of a kinds that pops up only once every few years.

However unlikely it may be, if you haven't read the berserk Manga yet I do recommend that you go and read it.

Now for a few anime favorites of my own:

- Record of Lodoss wars (OVA)

If you're into the fantasy genre then this one is something you do not want to miss out on!

- Cowboy Bebop

A whole different direction from berserk, but in my book an absolutely stunning anime with great character development, back story and awesome music.

- Ghost in the Shell Stand alone Complex and Second Gig

Yet another direction, but an action packed series with a good story and like Bebop a soundtrack from the master (Yoko Kanno) herself.

Some other recommendations:

If you liked Baccano you might want to try Durarara as well, it's from the same guys.

Darker than Black may also be to your liking.

Sorry for delayed reply here. It's really hard to recommend something actually when you've already seen what I consider to be the best anime xD hehe but seriously, I do think you should try and continue with Claymore. It has a disappointing ending, but there is some great character development.

Other than that, have you considered watching Fullmetal Alchemist? I'd recommend starting with the original although the remake is my preferred version and is really amazing.

I think you'd get something out of Blue Gender, there is a lot of action and the characters are deeply intriguing. It reminded me of Berserk (although TOTALLY different stories) in that while it had a very strong plot the characters took complete priority.

Others you should look into: Death Note, Elfen Lied, Eden of the East, Blood+, 12 Kingdoms - these are really good ones that should be quite easy to get into and have a good balance between good characters and action/mystery :)

I wouldn't recommend Bleach, while the first 90 or so eps are ok the thing has dragged on into the realms of sheer retardation. It sucks now, and is probably the worst shounen ever. You're much better off watching Naruto.

I hope this helps. Let me know how you get on!
