It was fine until chapter 12. It becomes sort of fucked up after that. The MC does some really out of character things, and even though these actions are explained later, I think it caused irreparable damage to his relationships. I think the best course of action for the author would be to ignore the MC's recent actions after this arc is concluded, even if it doesn't make much sense.
