He ended her daughter's life because the chimera was not his daughter anymore. Yes, the chimera stil loved him, because Nina and the dog loved him before. He not only endangered the life of two beings he should love, (why didn't he abduct any two other beings and chimerized them?? why his only child and loyal dog? BECAUSE he is a psyco, so, he never loved anyone aside from himself.), but also was a coward and a fool.
Kotoura's mother said something to her daughter to make her daughter hate her, and became stronger and don't miss her mother anymore. Kotoura wasn't scarred for life, she was strong enough to overcome her traumas AND intelligent enough to understand her mother's acts.
I don't think you should compare a psycopath with a desperate tsundere mother. If you can't see the difference, maybe you need to stop thinking about that and give it a try again later on. It's like comparing someone who stole at the groceries store to feed his family, and someone who kidnapped a person and leave it to his/her death after everything went wrong with the plan...
That was exactly my point, one ended her daughter's life but the other one gave her the chance to stop being hurt by her. I don't think they are in the same bucket at all. One tried to save the child, the other killed her.
I think you missinterpreted Shou Tucker as well as Kumiko Kotoura... One is a egotistic self-centered psycopath while the other is just a desperate tsundere.
