Very minor spoilers ahead!: Story - So this paranormal romantic drama feature is adapted from a science fiction novel that came out in the early seventies, and in trying to condense that content into a two-hour long film, the process is proved to be difficult. This is evidenced by the final portion of the film, which is rather bewildering and hard to follow along, especially in the dialogue between Ryoichi and Kenji, as well as the scenes in what appears to be a dream sequence.
