For Monster fans this is simultaneously a treat and a let down.

Pros:

Opening reminds viewers of the year {1986}. 

For those who happened to have watched this series on SciFi (or the English dub in general) this recap includes the original ending song. This reviewer never knew there were lyrics to this anime and is shocked that the English dub would remove such a song from a great series.

"For the Love of Life" is a perfect fit as a theme and works on so many levels for Johan, Tenma, and Nina/Anna.

Cons:

A recap with no new material or insight =( <--> Summary of first 17 episodes.

Only available in English sub. If you're a fan of the dub and have come to connect certain voices to characters this is a bit hard on the ears.

Young Johan is the most jarring contrast between the versions.
