Death Note

May 27, 2020

I watched this anime a while ago, back when I was 11/12 years old, and for a while now I have been avoiding this one, just because I didn't remember much of it...but it seemed like an anime that was hyped up by edgy teens.

oh boy I was wrong. I loved this anime, from the story to the characters.

ill do a brief breakdown

story: I love the general idea of the story. And the psychological warfare is amazing.

animation: the animation is superb for being from 2006. It is definitely not up to today's standards when you think of anime. However for an anime coming from the early 2000s, it's amazing.

sound: the soundtrack is alright. Definitely distinct, and I could recognise it easily, but it's not the best

characters: these characters are written so well, each quirk and each flaw is so well played into the story. Even for characters I hate, such as near. If you feel a strong emotion towards a character in a story, that means that the writer did a good job of evoking an emotion out of you.

overall:

A great anime if you are looking for a psychological warfare and wanting to be put at the edge of your seat

10/10 story
10/10 animation
8/10 sound
9/10 characters
9.5/10 overall
