Call me Olie Olie Oxenfree.

Give me an anime that is strong in its genre.  If there is anything I have learned, it's that there is no genre of anime I won't watch, just some that more solidly fit my interests.

My favorite anime usually have:

1)Beautiful/ unique animation that heightens the tone of the piece through its art style.

2)Characters that took some risk to write and bring to life.

3)A story that stays strong and doesn't throw away all of its potential on a half assed ending.

Hi! I saw your Soul Eater NOT! comment and that's like 100% of what I think it is (I'm on Episode 10 and I'm seriously wondering how I got there, I've seen it all but the villain's actual plot... which probably sucks). I'm so bored. Why did they have to give us this for a prequel series? WHY?

Hey, I just read your review for Erased (Boku dake ga Inai Machi) and left a comment there as well.  Like you I was very disheartened by the anime, especially the ending, though I may have been even more dissapointed due to my knowledge of the source material's awesome story (mostly ignored in the anime). 

With the ending of the 2016 season's first quarter I have started up my own list for ranking the new anime from the year.  The list will continue to grow and evolve as the year rolls on and new anime are added (and as I finish them).  While I don't write reviews for anything on this site, my list will be including my /10 score for each series, as well as a full review written upon finishing the series.  I would love it if you had the chance to swing by and take a look now and then as the year rolls on by.  As of right now, the list includes my (8/10 episode) ranking for KonoSuba, my (5/?? episode) stalled ranking for Grimgar, my full score + review for Erased, and listings of my current episodes for all other series I'm currently watching or planning to watch.
