I've heard about Kingdom. I will have to look into it. I cannot wait for Chainsaw Man and am excited for Part 2 of the manga to release next week. I understand the preference for serious stories over comedies/other genres. There's certain genres of anime/manga I can't read now that I'm older and tend to analyze a lot more within stories than I did when I was younger. I like deep themes and world building. Berserk definitely needs a proper anime adaptation. I've only seen the 1997 anime and am not going to bother with the other films/anime released after because of the poor reviews. I believe Miura's work deserves a proper adaptation eventually once the manga wraps up.
I actually just caught with the Berserk manga and yes the panels are indeed a spectacle of detail. Yes, Kouji Mori and the assistants for Berserk are resuming the series. They just released two new chapters a few days ago. It's indeed sad knowing that Miura passed away and it was emotional for me to read Chapter 364 knowing that was the last piece of work he had worked on. I look forward to the future chapters and am grateful they are continuing the series. I totally understand if manga isn't your thing. I only read manga that truly captivate me to be honest.
I'm not sure if Isayama will have his anime redone. It would be interesting to see, but I doubt that it would happen knowing how the anime industry is as a whole. He has mentioned that he would be interesting in doing a dark comedy series in one interview so who knows what the future holds for him. We will have to wait and see.
I haven't been watching too much anime this year either. I still have to finish up Tomodachi Game and Summertime Rendering. I also have to finish Horimiya. I watch this particular anime on and off for some reason. I just finished watched he first part of the Spy x Family anime. I found it to be wholesome and funny. No, I haven't actually Kingdom, but I have heard about it vaguely. I am eagerly waiting for Chainsaw Man and Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War Arc later on this year. I also of course am looking forward to the last part of Attack on Titan in January.
I'll see what I get into next. I'm not sure what I will be interested in down the line.
