'I did not anticipate enjoying this as much as I did, especially when I decided to watch it on a last minute whim in December. The cast is good and Fumiya Tomozaki is a really good character (and person) who I consider a very close 2nd runner-up for best male character of the year, and that is a compliment since the best male and female character awards are extra tough this year.'

'A brainwashing, scumbag, tyrant who treats his daughter, Erina, like a food tasting object, and ousts her badass grandfather, Senzaemon, as Director of Tohtsuki Academy in a rather deceitful and diabolical way. His concept of "fine dining" is a disgrace.'

'Though it is as much political as it is romantic, the anime's main focus is still driven by the Shoujo-style melodramatic romance.'

'She just barely wins with her antics and charm. Her peppy, Hot-Headed character is the biggest basis for levity in the anime. She constantly brings a smile to my face. I wish she is in it more (sigh). Hanazawa Kana did a great job bringing her personality to life.'

'I laughed hard, cried a little bit, and found myself being completely enveloped into the combined world of Marin and Gojo. The rest of cast only further solidified why this anime is my #1 in 2022.'

'A quiet individual with a fondness for hina dolls. However, his kindness and sincerity are what shine the most among all others. He is a geniunely good, thoughtful person throughout. He is a pretty talented fashion designer too; more than he realizes.'

'This is one of the toughest categories of 2022, but because this sequel season noticeably improves upon its decent predecesor, Hana, Shinichi, and the supporting cast are able to capture the award this year; I would find myself laughing quite a bit, the romance is more serious this season, and both are meshed together at a very good level.'
