If I remember rightly, Angel Beats was my second anime so it has been a long time since I have watched it too. I think that if I watch it again now though I will find it much more sader than when I had originally watched it.

Almost a year ago my younger cousin had gotten into a car accident that has left her paralysed from the waist down. Its kind of similar to Yui's background in a way.

Sorry about that, I'm not the type that usually dwels on touchy topics like that, its just that it fitted into the conversation so I though 'why not?'

I think that I might do a review on Blue Exorcist first seen as that was my first anime. Plus I have just recently finished re-watching it so the scenario and events are fresh in my mind.

Another thing that I look out for in anime series is the music. I honestly think that the music in some series doesn't get the credibility that it deserves. Normally if I am crying at a scene it is due to the music that is playing in the background, not the actual scenario. That's why I liked Angel Beats so much- the story was good and the characters each had interesting stories but the biggest factor for me was the music in the show- I thought that it was basically faultless!

I might consider also doing some reviews later on after my exams have finnished. Once they are out of the way I plan on starting to do recommendations and reviews.

I enjoy psychological and horror anime for the same reason, I don't really enjoy anime, or films for that matter, when the ending or the next scenario is obvious. I really appriciate the suspense that psychological and horror anime creates!

I don't particularly love romance but I don't hate it either. There are times when romance anime can be my favourite but there are also times when romance anime can bore me. I guess that I just have a love-hate relationship with romance anime.

Similarly to you, as long as the anime has an interesting, well developed plot then I cant really complain. Even if it is a short series with only 12 episodes if the characters are developed and the actual story is good then its normally an anime that I enjoy. Although, the exception to this being Hetalia. The plot is almost non-existant but the comedy value of the show is amazing and defiantly makes it worth watching. The downside of Hetalia is that it has changed my view of the world, for better or for worse I'm not quite sure yet.

Greenmuffin91 says...  Anime challenges? they sound interesting, if you don't mind me asking what are those? just had a look and that does sound like it would be helpful to use, usually I just stick with one Anime at a time so I don't lose track haha and I would love to read your recommendations and reviews so I look forward to it :)

\r\n

I have quite a few reviews and recommendations already written, but I need to do a lot more to help out the site! *smile*  Since I'm always looking at the reviews and recommendations others have written, it's the least I can do to add some more of my own! (Note you can always read the reviews and recs someone has written by clicking on those links under their name on their profile page.)

\r\n

It's great to see you've gotten started, by writing your first review and recommendation! *smile*

Greenmuffin91 says...  Yea it is easy to spend a lot of your time on here especially when talking with new people :)

\r\n

I know, I get started responding to comments or reading things on the site, and before I know it, the entire day is gone!

Greenmuffin91 says...  Haha made me chuckle just imagining them as real Aliens. I didn't know about the fourth one so that even scares me more now. Further than I am, I was getting the hang of Hiragana but with the lack of time with work and my degree I'm just not getting anyway and kanji will be the hardest considering there is like 2000 symbols.

\r\n

Furigana isn't actually a real syllabary, but a Help-Guidance tool, used by both foreigners and Japanese natives alike.  It is the teeny tiny superscript hiragan printed beside kanji characters to act as a reading and pronunciation aid.  Here is the Wikepedia explanation.

Greenmuffin91 says...  One of the places I'm most excited to visit so I will have to plan my trip by the second to get everything I want to do in Tokyo and still leave time for other parts of Japan.

\r\n

I know, so many places to see.  Tokyo alone has many neighborhoods that need visiting. Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, Akihabara, Roppongi, Ueno Park, Hibiya, Harajuku   so many places ...  and that's just Tokyo!!! LOL

\r\n

Greenmuffin91 says...  I think that is one of the reasons I love this site so much because from the second I joined people were greeting me and making me feel at home here which is a great feeling and you have some great members in your WECO group I wish more sites had a group similar to yours.

\r\n

I'm going to take this to mean that you support the things we do, and I'm going to make you a member of WECO! *smile*  I am adding you as a WECO Supporter, and I thank you much!!! ( Supporters are important members of the group. Their endorsement really benefits WECO by boosting morale, and by helping to increase WECO’s reputation and visibility on the site!)  If you ever want to be more involved, just let me know and I can help you take a more active part in the group, but nothing more is required.  While I love the WECO's Greeters, who do the welcomes and who are very special people, endorsements are also very cool and we love our Supporters.  Nothing more is needed. No obligations. If that is the role that is best for you, I thank you very much for your support!  (If you -are- interested in doing welcomes on a regular basis and actually greeting new members as part of the group, just get back to me to let me know and I can send info about becoming a Greeter. I'd love it if you have time to participate at that level, as a Greeter! But no pressure - if you wish to  be a Supporter and not a Greeter, that is totally fine! *smile*)

\r\n

(If you want, feel free to use a WECO banner in your forum signature or on your profile page. They are here, if you want one, but no obligation to use one if you don't wish to.)

Greenmuffin91 says... I look forward to it hopefully by that time I will have my reviews, lists and many more friends to share the experince with so I can't wait!!!

Thanks for sharing your opinion on Deadman Wonderlan, I really appriciate it :) I have read your review on it and I think that you have done a good job considering that it is your first review. I try to be fairly diverse in the types of anime that I watch, I don't mind watching older anime and I don't particularly have a favourite genre. I do enjoy psychological and horror ones but I would never limit myself to just those types, that would get boring. How about you? Is there any types of anime that you particularly enjoy?
