The Boy and the Heron

Dec 27, 2023

Although it’s not my favourite of Ghibli or Miyazaki’s films, it’s definitely the most absurdly insanely crafted and it really shows. It’s fun and batshit insane story could never have been portrayed through anyone other than the eyes of Miyazaki. The animation is still amazing - my favourite part of the film is by far the references to his previous works - there’s an element from nearly every one of the studio’s films - there’s the ‘Wada Wada’ resemblance to the Kodamas from Mononoke, the incredible water scenes look like they’re straight out of... Ghost in the Shell

Jul 8, 2023

People love machines in 2029 A.D This is my favourite anime movie, closely followed by either End of Evangelion or Princess Mononoke because not only is it one of the first anime I saw, but because each time I rewatch this film, it doesn't sway my opinion on how well made this film is. Sure, it might not tell the whole story of Major and Section Nine but it does a great job of giving it a tribute like adaptation, similar to AKIRA, which is also different from the manga. The whole character devolopment of the Major throughout the film is kind of levitated at a medium pace, not too fast paced for the story... See full review

Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre

Jan 21, 2023

Its rather disappointing compared to Junji Ito's horrifying works. Here its just awkward and a lot of scenes feel like powerpoint transistions like the scene of the lepaving gliding onto the screen in a straight line then landing on the table (its like ep 6 or 7). Theres also a lot of janky animation (Studio Deen moment) especially near the end of episode 12 where the family screams about running out of the house, however the next scene that portrays them opening the door in a group, slowly and calmly, then stading there for like a second then the next screaming and running out of the house. The... See full review

ERASED

Jan 18, 2023

Ok, where do I start. Erased was made in 2016 and was one of the most popular series that year, e.t.c, e.t.c. However, there are many people split on whether it was good or not and honestly became rather a shitstorm on forums. This storm was heavily created due to the fact that many people find the ending bullshit- I'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't seen it but I can say, it depends on the viewer if what you think is good or not. To me, personally, I didn't mind the ending as much and I thought the people who say its absolute garbage should reconsider this series to be rather well made. For... See full review

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira

Jan 5, 2023

I dont care what anyone says, but I dropped this as soon as they made 10 yr olds do perverse shit, and honestly, I don't care if Rika is over 100 years old mentally, she's basically a child- not to mention adults in the show wanting the same thing with other children to dress up in scandalous outfits, which is just as creepy and disgusting. Idk, I just don't want to watch child porn, sorry.
