WECO's manga recommendations to new users

Here are some manga that the lovely people in WECO thought new manga readers would enjoy. We hope it will help you and enjoy them!
1 All You Need Is Kill

All You Need Is Kill

All You Need is Kill is a short manga, which the movie Edge of Tomorrow is actually based off, if you enjoyed that (they're quite different story wise though). It's an amazing psychological series, with a nice bit of gore for those who like that, and great characters. For those who like psychological thrillers, this is a must read.

2 Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is a comedy/slice of life manga that follows the little Chiyo-chan that decided to confess her love to a boy from the next classroom, Nozaki-kun. But things didn’t turn out the way she hoped they would! And that’s how their adventures started. The story does not follow a standard way, many times the chapters don’t connect with the previous ones and there are times that they do. It’s more like every chapter is a stand alone, and doesn’t need anything to be enjoyable. Are you looking for something to make your day? Or for something to get you out of your boredom? Then Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is the answer!

4 Jack: The American Ghost

Jack: The American Ghost

American Ghost Jack is simultaneously one of the cutest and creepiest series I've ever read. Confusing, right? I have no idea how they did it either, but it's brilliant. The main character has basically lost all of her emotions, and only cares about her run down haunted house. In order to restore it, she travels to America to get ideas at the scariest haunted mansion ever. The art is incredibly creepy, and the characters are all amazing - honestly, I can't recommend this highly enough, especially for horror and romance fans.

5 The Sound of Magic: Annarasumanara

The Sound of Magic: Annarasumanara

Annarasumanara is a manhwa about a young girl that chases her dreams no matter how crazy they seem. It shows us that the right path is always the one that we want to follow and not the ones around us try to make us choose and that beauty is hidden inside a person and not on the outside appearance. If you want to experience a little bit of magic, then this manhwa is the right choice.

6 Shinobi Life

Shinobi Life

Shinobi Life is a manga that mixes the modern way of life with one that shinobi used to have in past. It all happened when Kagetora, a shinobi come to the modern world through the sky and changed the whole world of Beni, a young teenager. The story revolves around those two and the people that they interact with; mixing elements from both worlds and maintaining the sweetness expected from a shoujo manga.

7 Ran and the Gray World

Ran and the Gray World

Ran to Haiiro no Sekai is all about a young girl that can’t wait to grow older. But she’s no ordinary girl since she belongs to a family of wizards and the one thing brought another and now she has to protect the things she love and the ones dear around here but she’s still a child; what can she possibly do? That’s a very good question, so read the manga if you wanna know how many things that we take for granted everyday can a child teach us.

8 Assassination Classroom

Assassination Classroom

Assassination Classroom is, in my opinion, a staple of modern manga. It has wacky humour and great characters, all of which you grow to love dearly over the course of the series. There's action, a great plot, and most importantly it's seriously funny. If you like great stories and characters, then you should definitely try this!

9 Bastard

Bastard

Bastard is the perfect series for all you psychological fans out there. The main character, Jin, is the son of a serial killer, and has been helping his father to commit murders ever since he was a child. Finally old enough to realise just how wrong what he's doing is, he slowly begins to try and break away from the horrors of what he's doing, and his terrifying father.

10 Skip Beat!

Skip Beat!

Skip Beat is the funny and dramatic story of Kyoko, a girl who joins the world of acting in order to spite her ex boyfriend. The story is heartwarming, funny, dramatic, and perfect for anyone who likes strong female characters who put their all into everything they do.
