I really like your bio! The moon thing reminds me of the moon in Soul Eater x3 And I read one of your comments on someone elses page, I agree, the communicating system is troublesome. Though I guess the site wasn't really made for socializing.
Have a nice day~
Hey! Sorry about the late reply. I've tried reading the Game of Throne books (A Song of Ice and Fire) but I stopped awhile ago, maybe I'll try them again. I've heard of the Wheel of Time books, that seems like a lot of time commitment.
Sorry about the basketball games. For Valentine's Day all I did was go to a party my college's anime club threw and it was great, mostly because we sang karaoke and played Cards Against Humanity. Since then I've just been busy with school. My spring break is next week though so I'm excited about that.
Happy belated birthday! I've never seen the Lord of the Rings movies or the Hobbit ones, but my sister went to go see the Desolation of Smaug and she really enjoyed it, so much that she began reading the books. I've heard good things about how Peter Jackson adapted the books - I mean, they're massive, so people of course get angry about how much is left out (or in the case of the Hobbit movies I guess, stretched out), but he's bringing them to a wider audience in a way that has for the most part been pretty acclaimed. Wish I could say the same for the Harry Potter movies...
Ah, a Seahawks fan. So you enjoyed the Super Bowl. I'm a Niners fan so I was unhappy, but man was that a blow-out. I mean, I kind of expected Seattle to win (though I kind of hoped they wouldn't - since we're rivals and all), but I did not expect them to so thoroughly destroy Denver. I remember the last Super Bowl they played in vaguely, I remember wanting them to win that (I wasn't a Niners fan or really a football fan at all at the time, so I just went with who my family was rooting for.) I'm glad your year has been good! Have you started any anime (or books or tv shows) interesting lately?
Oh I see, I hate getting home improvements. I remember when my family put in wood floors all throughout the upstairs, it was a nightmare.
I haven't seen Space Dandy either and from the comments I've seen on it, I don't know how it would measure up to Watanabe's other works. Some people said they loved it because of the throwback style, others thought it was stupid and silly. I'll still give it a shot, though. I did like however that they aired it here at the same time as in Japan, if this works well enough I think it would be good to continue it. They need more anime like this on Toonami, too - I mean, it's supposed to be an introduction of sorts for new anime viewers, and I really don't think fanservice-heavy or more 'otaku' oriented stuff like Tenchi Muyo or Sword Art Online is doing that. There's a reason they used to air stuff like Bebop, Outlaw Star, FMA, Ghost in the Shell, and Trigun.
Thanks, my new year was great, though I just started classes again. How about you?
It's great to hear from you and it sounds like you had a great Christmas! I mostly just got comics and a few nonfiction books I wanted to read, plus a few gift cards. It was a good holiday. For gift-giving I bought my sister a shirt she had wanted but I buy her so much throughout the year (and she owed me money anyways) so it was something small this year. In anime club at my college we had a gift-giving party and I bought the 3-in-1 volume of Fullmetal Alchemist and got the first volume of the Madoka manga (but I almost got a Homura plushie, very sad when I didn't.)
I hear you, sometimes it gets to be a lot to squeeze in anime watching, I was like that when I was worrying over starting college. Since it's break though I've been watching more, I've really wanted to get into some older series. Are you by any chance going to watch Space Dandy, the new anime by Shinichiro Watanabe? It's airing on Toonami before it gets to Japan (probably because his style is more popular among American fans) and it sounds interesting.
