That might be me putting VR in my status to let people know that's what I'm doing! It's hard for me to respond and do other things while wearing the headset so that's why I do that :-D
I highly recommend getting one when you can! Needs a fairly powerful PC too but I'm doing just fine with a GTX 1660 Ti, and if you get the Oculus Quest (which is what I have) you can actually play games in a standalone mode if you buy them from the Quest store. I use it with a link cable to let me play PC stuff though!
Yeah... it was either that or risk a really nasty meltdown at work and who knows what could have happened if that were to occur? Sucked that I had to quit without notice but after I had a pretty nasty breakdown the night before I quit... yeah. I did learn a lot from it though and in the future I'm going to make sure to never ever make my availability as open as it was so I can take breaks and have time to do the things I love to do. Though if it takes too long and I turn 26 I'll likely have to go on disability so I can continue to have health insurance. I had to go to the ER twice back in feburary (due to some kind of stomach bug that caused me to constantly vomit and I ended up severely dehydrated) and if it weren't for my parents insurance it would have costed them thousands so I can't really afford to let myself go uninsured. In all honesty I may have to go on disability regardless cause after how bad I got working 20-25 hours a week there's no way I could do full time... (unless it was a job I really liked, but that's rare)
That's interesting, what kind of app is it? Also I fuckin love bioshock! I also played a bit of the first Metro but I never finished it.

Oh man yeah, Rachel is one hell of a piece of shit but I'd say she's a very well written character. I want to start season 3 of the webtoon but I'm waiting for the series to resume cause it's on indefinite hiatus right now :-(
I've also managed to get a friend to watch the anime with me and this friend is probably gonna read the webtoon too! Also planning to get two other friends of mine to watch it once the dub is finished! Speaking of which I've seen a few dub clips and they're honestly quite good.

A lot's happened but the short version is I wound up having to quit my job after about 4 months cause I couldn't take it anymore (this was about a year ago) and haven't had any luck finding anything since, especially with the pandemic and such. These days I'm mostly spending my time playing games and also playing around with my VR headset that I got a few months ago!
I hate Rachel so much too xDDD Not gonna lie I was worried that 13 episodes was going to mean that it'd be a disaster of an adaptation but I was surprised at how good it turned out! I do think it would have benefited from more episodes but I'm happy with what we got. I'd love a season 2 as well but I'm going to be worried if they try to cram things again and if they butcher my favorite parts (Workshop Battle arc mainly) I might not bother... though I'm gonna try to stay positive!
Legat de "genurile care imi plac" si "animatia a fost ingrozitoare": aveam si am si eu genurile mele preferate. Si am mai vazut mai ales la inceput, animeuri care nu sunt in genurile mele. Dar mi-am dat seama ca nu le judec asa cum trebuie. Acum incerc sa iau anumite animeuri, ca ceea ce sunt. De exemplu comedy. Si aici am ca exemplu daily life of high school boys / girls. Poate nu au cea mai buna poveste. Poate nu au cea mai buna animatie. Dar am ras de nu mai puteam la ele. Si ceea ce le trece in categoria mea de "masterpiece" e constanta pe care o au. Episod dupa episod, la DLOHSB am ras de nu mai puteam sa respir. Ca o comedie, si-a atins perfect scopul. Un alt anime pe care il am in top, e Usagi Drop. Si poate este exceptia la ceea ce spun. Are acel tag de "drama". Nu a fost. Si asta e unul din motivele pentru care e cu adevarat, inclusiv pe A-P, o capodopera. Puteau sa bage toata drama din lume in anime. Dar nu au facut asta. Au facut unul din cele mai pozitive animeuri. Episod dupa episod, eram mai fericit, impreuna cu personajele. Alt exemplu, mult mai proaspat e Yuru Camp. Cute girls doing cute stuff while traveling. Asta e povestea in mare. Nu ar atrage pe cineva care cauta story. Dar a avut ceva la care m-am conectat din prima clipa. Am trait animeul ala, impreuna cu personajele. Episod dupa episod, fara exceptie.
Ouran e fanservice pentru fete. E un shoujo romance. Dar trebuie sa ti cont ca e din 2006. Au trecut 14 ani. Nu prea aveai de unde sa alegi atunci. Haruhi era oricum super draguta chiar daca trebuia sa fie baiat. Si asta era scopul animeului. Sa empatizezi cu ea. Sa traiesti cu ea. Sa speri ca ajunge cu x sau y. Sa fie exact ceea ce a fost. Shoujo. Romance. Si a fost. A avut cum am scris, fanservice pentru fete. Dar asta s-a potrivit perfect.
O alta potrivire? Kimi ni Todoke. Cu ce? Tocmai cu animatia. Dar mai bine nu spun de Kmi ni Todoke ci de un anime mai necunoscut: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge. Cu greu am trecut peste grafica sa. Dar sub grafica, era ceea ce trebuie. Cand l-am terminat, mi-am zis ca grafica era cat se poate de potrivita si perfecta pentru acest anime, si ca alta, mai moderna, nu cred ca se potrivea asa bine. Animatia din Kimi ni Todoke a adaugat, nu a luat nimic. A scos povestea in evidenta. Si a transmis chiar foarte bine, ceea ce trebuia.
Si da, te inteleg si eu. E mai greu sa gasesc ceva ce imi place in animeurile care nu sunt pe genurile mele.
