Story: The start of this 20 minute OVA  sets off with Negi sneezing, and of course, whenever a young magician sneezes, a volumptuous teenage girl HAS to get her clothes ripped off by the sheep force of his sneeze- and this is exactly what happens at the start of this OVA. And it couldn't generalise this OVA any better.

The general story of Negima!? Haru Special!? is that Ayane takes Negi away on a supposedly romantic holiday on a private island, but it ends up everyone tags along so Ayane's dream of getting into Negi's pants remains just a bitter memory of what could have been. Typical of an OVA, this episode doesn't really have much of a storyline to it, its basically just an excuse for animators to do a whole 20 minute anime showcasing 30-odd teenage girls in various forms of revealing swimwear.

Animation: I've always liked the animation in Negima!? Its bright, bold colouring and inking is easily distinctable and looks glorious on screen. The various boob bounces and panty shots (Well-lower bikini shots) in this show were a bit too over-the-top and off-putting, not unlike High School of the Dead, but nonetheless still impressive.

Sound:  With not much in the way of music, this OVA isn't really amazing in terms of musical genius. The opening and ending songs were chirpy and cheerful but the music used in the actual show wasn't very noticeable at all.

Characters: Suprisingly, even in such a short episode length and even through the vast amount of characters featured, this short OVA managed to convey all the individual personalities of all the characters. It made me laugh to see Setsuna ogle and blush whenever she saw Konaka's rear end wobbling to and fro in her skimpy swimsuit and seeing Nodoka shyly watching Negi was cute :3

Overall:  This is just below average in terms of anime for me, but if your a guy who likes fanservice then this is the anime for you.

4/10 story
