Checkmate

Jun 28, 2022

I give it a seven. The story revolves around a guy, who is obsessed over his past...it's safe to say he has an inferiority complex, a guy who is more or less supposed to be on the top of the world yet he begs to differ, and a 50 something old geezer who is a psychopath.  The story itself is interesting. I wouldn't say it's especially cruel. Is it nasty? Yeah. However, it does happen in specific industries so it wasn't shocking or whatever.  Now the relationship between these two. There is no romance. The blondie is more warmhearted, while the brunette is what you call a calculative type. And... See full review

Painter of the Night

Jun 25, 2022

I give it a 4. It's pretty bad. I kept on postponing reading it but since it was so hyped I gave in...I regret it. There is not much story going on. There's a lot of sex, rape, random murders...that's it. I've read 70 chapters and I didn't warm to at least one character. None of them were appealing to me. The story is about a porn addict who turns into some sort of obsessive love frick and painter amoeba that cannot think to save his life. That's it. That's the story. The art is gorge tho.

Oh, Dear Nemesis

May 14, 2022

I am concluding my opinion after 11 chapters. Honestly, I am disappointed. The female lead is bad. Like, actually horrible. In her previous life, she used to be an arrogant puppet. She thought she had it all. When she came back to her 10-year-old self she was contemplating whether to save her twin brother or not. Most of her misfortune happened due to his death, yet she got to be the head of the family effortlessly due to this exact reason. She was contemplating. Lol...I've read many isekai stories but this one is a first. She was CONTEMPLATING whether to save the brother who loved her. Okay, I can... See full review

The Grand Duchess of the North Was Secretly a Villainess

May 7, 2022

It could have been a masterpiece but it fell flat for me. The female lead is no joke. She is gorgeous, she is scary, she is talented, she is fierce. The original korean girl has a story of her own that allows her to live her new life to the fullest. Where does the disappointment come from? Male lead. The male lead does not regress but he kinda knows the future. HE IS ALSO A DAMN MANIPULATOR. He lies about amnesia. He is horrible to everyone but the female lead. And the worst of it was...the original idea was to avoid the novel. She decided to avoid the male lead but she gave in instantly. She became a... See full review

The Marriage Business

May 2, 2022

I don't agree with people who hate art. In my opinion, it's beautiful. I also like the female lead's bangs. Both of them are striking in a good way.  I keep coming back to it because I keep on seeing it on tik tok, but unfortunately, it's very bland. Not every female lead has to be a nun in disguise, so it's natural she might have her own flaws...which she does.  However, I was very disappointed by her and her father's reunion. A nine-year-old was sold to a teenage boy. For ten years she was left completely alone. Who wouldn't go bunkers? And how does it end? A couple of panels with the father... See full review

The Viridescent Tiara

Apr 20, 2022

It's boring.  It starts like any other isekai, reincarnation romance which is not a bad thing. However, t it was so lackluster that it got me yawning after the second chapter. I managed to read 15 and I regret it.

Marriage and Sword

Apr 1, 2022

It's very rushed and poorly thought out.  I like the tanned, 2 meters, rude male lead...I also like the female lead who can wield the sword...the idea is there, but the execution is nonexistent.  I've read 21 chapters and I don't think I want to continue. Alas.

I Wasn't the Cinderella

Mar 27, 2022

WOW, the comments made me speechless so I am here to debunk them. The title is fitting. The story is nicely thought through so it has a place to be. The idea is great! There is no 'going back to the past' or whatever 3874983th isekai story has to offer.  Now, both of the main characters are adequate. While the male lead is the one who is mysterious and more on a dark side, he is nicely balanced with a female lead who is honest, ambitious, and kind.  If you're tired of pedophilia, incoherent story, plot holes, and useless, brainless female leads you're in the right place.  It's... Garden of Silence

Mar 8, 2022

I am a little disheartened by the fact that it became disappointing work. I am a fan of revenge and second chances but this ain't it.  I've read 23 chapters and binged through to the latest one...I wish I didn't. The male lead is doomed to suffer. He is someone who is left with nothing but his feelings. Feelings that aren't needed. The female lead is calculating and heartless. That's pretty much it. She is plotting, thinking...I am sure, the time will come and she will trample over people as well.  I would not recommend it.

Nevermore

Feb 3, 2022

I dropped it at least twice...but then I decided to give it another chance... Do I regret reading it? Not really. Was it mind-blowing? Not really. Do I recommend it? Not really. I've seen comments saying it's deep yada yada yada. What can I say?  Spoilers. The story revolves around blind and angry person. One is blind due to his unshaken trust, the other is angry because he was blindly manipulated. BOTH OF THEM LIKED IT. But then...one death changes everything. Oh, there is one crazy pshycho behind it. He does it for LOVE. It is indeed yaoi, but there were like 5 kisses and three bed scenes. I... See full review

Marry Me, Alpha

Feb 2, 2022

I dropped it at chapter 8 but I still wanna say a couple of words.  Omegaverse is famous to be fucked up...this one is no exception. For the first couple of chapters, I was hoping the 'bottom' to be top. It would be nice and fair. I kept on thinking and hoping before sleazy-looking DOMINANT alpha didn't show up. I am exhausted from all of the inequality. They might have a happy ending but why would I care if it's forced and unnatural?  There is a crazy alpha who wants to have sex with another alpha. It's not mutual. That's all you gotta know. Even if later on the author puts hearts in the... See full review

Your Heart in My Hands

Feb 2, 2022

I liked it but at the same time, I didn't like it. The plot might be a little cliche but I am digging most of these tropes. Thus I was very excited. I would like to point out that the art was great. Especially when it came to clothes. All of the characters were fashionable and it was eye candy.  Now...I am not familiar with the author but I would sum it up as 'bland'. There were a lot of long dialogues with detailed, unnecessary explanations. It seemed like I was reading a novel that was written by a high schooler. It was a little boring and off-putting. The second thing that made me frustrated... See full review

A Trace of You

Feb 1, 2022

It's a VERY MEDIOCRE story.  I suppose the biggest turn-off was Amnesia. The research wasn't done... at all. The main character was having it whenever it fitted him. It was quite horrible. Another thing is the timeline. It was all over the place.  The story revolves around a couple and a 'friend' who is prone to self-harm. To be honest, he might be the negative character but I liked him the most. At the end of the story, he was just cut off.🤷‍♀️ I mean...the art is cute and it has a very warm ambiance but that's it...this is the only exterior you get because inside is... See full review

A Sea of Conflicts

Jan 31, 2022

I came across this webtoon at least three times...and I didn't want to start reading it because of reviews. In the end, I did and I don't regret it. I do agree that it could have been better but I take it for what it is. The author portrayed incredibly well the sense of ache. During some chapters, I was staring at the panels until I memorized the dialogues. I was high on them...then it was the downfall. I felt betrayed and frustrated. From the middle till the very end is what people do not like. I agree but I still give it a 10.

Chasing The Sun

Jan 21, 2022

I've noticed that most of the Chinese manhuas are very rushed. This one is no exception.  I did read in one go and I found it kinda fun but more than anything I was left unsatisfied. It's so rushed you have no damn time to enjoy any part of the story. The middle was kinda okayish since it wasn't jumping too much but I would not recommend it. It's very forgettable. The author had a nice idea but he/she was not talented enough to develop it into something magical.

Lima Syndrome

Jan 16, 2022

Wow, it was was so bad I give it a ONE. If you like Killing Stalking, you might like this one as well. However, I would not recommend either.  One alpha is obsessed with another alpha. He is obsessed to the point of making his object of love believe he is an omega. He bullied him in high school in order to make the poor soul focus on his 'savior'. He doesn't let him work.  And at the end...he injured his legs so he cannot walk away. The only ending that would make me happy is an ex omega fucking this sicko to the point he cannot walk. Making him the receiving end.  It didn't... See full review

Addiction

Jan 7, 2022

This was a horrible read. This story is supposed to be about 'devine' love...but in reality it's a gruesome fail.  There is no plot. A lot of manipulation, lame excuses, disgusting sex yada yada yada.  The bottom is so pitiful I cannot even badmouth it. The top is so stuck up his ass it's useless to discuss.  I do not recommend it. If you are into lame horny scenes...welcome, but otherwise...just don't.

Even If You Don't Love Me

Jan 7, 2022

I read 44 chapters and I hated probably every other chapter. The art is great. That's the truth. And that's it. THE END. I came to a conclusion that...as of recent...authors like to milk trauma, toxicity, hatred, rape in their yaoi stories. This one HAS IT ALL.  I don't want to be a total prick, so I will quickly sum it up. The story revolves around a very rich, neglected as a child(bastard), dominant student, and poor, also neglected but for totally other reasons student. At the very beginning, there is potential...it's not too rough and it was pleasant to watch them getting close. HOWEVER, as you... See full review

Ookami-kun wa Kowakunai

Jan 7, 2022

Unexpectedly cute and wholesome. I am not someone who is into 'beasty' stuff but I picked it up and I don't regret 20 minutes of my life.  The story revolves around a wolf and a rabbit. What surprised me the most was probably Usami's (bunny) character...it's calm and eloquent. He is not someone to be taken advantage of. There is no drama, just a peek of the progress into their relationship.  I totally recommend this one.

I'll break the comment section. I didn't hate the art...I kinda liked it. However, I gotta say it's extremely toxic...there is nothing else...hoes, abuse and violence....that's how I would sum it up. If you are looking for a wholesome story keep on scrolling. It ain't it.  I did finish the first season, however, I don't think I will wait for the second one.  If you read Easy target...you get the gist...well, the bottom hasn't been stabbed but it's not the end...so lol.

Green Apple Paradise

Oct 10, 2021

One of the best BL's I've read recently.  The story revolves around 5 guys. The first season is about a golden retriever and tsundere cat-type couple. I both lived and ached while watching their development.  It starts as a high school unrequited love and progresses into something bigger, stronger...I am not afraid to say DEVINE. The author is one of a kind person. She knows people's hearts and fears. Both guys go through magnificent character development. It's great. You should read it.

Extreme Life of a Teenager

Oct 8, 2021

The story revolves around an average teen girl's problems. She might be the main character but she wasn't granted the criterias mangakas give to their leads. It's definitely unique...even tho it's plainly drawn out of real-life experiences.  I do recommend it. It didn't make me angry or sad...I just enjoyed it. However, I need to make it clear...the story left me hanging. I gave it a quick thought....maybe the author left everything in the open so the readers can use all of their imagination...but nah...it was indeed clumped at the very end. Some cards had to be opened and... See full review
