Has potential for good buildup and development, but falls short compared to almost every other sports show out there. The main character yells in almost every voice line, is constantly rude, has 0 situational awareness, and for a so called baseball junkie somehow has 0 knowledge of anything baseball. I get the author wanted to make it so there is room for the character to develop, but this character is just too idiotic to work. While the art is fine, the animation for a sports show is pretty terrible. Every pitch is mostly still frames and cut to where the ball is suddenly in a glove, there are almost no... See full review
I only played the tutorial for the game, but I still could understand this anime. I didn't know what to expect, and the quality ended up being actually pretty high. Art and voice acting are top notch. The story is good enough to make me invested and wanting more. It definitely leaves some details out that makes it clear they want you to play the game, however I did not find that to hinder my enjoyment of it very much.See full review
This show has an identity crisis. It's trying to be a slice of life, isekai, political, war, action, rom-com, and cooking show all in one. But it doesn't really go all in with any of them and ends up being pretty bad at them all instead. Focuses a significant amount of air time on the political and war aspects, but yet the show is not produced like one because every action scene is full of still frames and non-animated motions. The main premise of the show and the title introduced in the first minute make this seem like it should be mostly about the main character's cooking knowledge, but that... See full review
Most episodes are only 10 minutes when you cut out recap and credits, so it's not as many episodes as it seems like. Of this genre, this is definitely one of the best. The world building and characters are interesting. However, this show really sufferes from cringy writing. Especially in the final arc of about 50 episodes it got so bad I actually have to lower my rating of the whole show. It's insane the amount of training arcs that were rendered pointless in seconds by a brand new character that didn't put in any effort at all to get power. Or that the writers just pulled reasons out of thin air to... See full review
I was worried that this show would lean too hard on the comedy and nothing would ever progress. But it was well done with an interesting story combined with fun characters and comedy. Not the best ever, but certainly worth a watch.See full review
animation looks like a video game cutscene. Very pretty at times, and other times it looks stiff. Overall, I kind of like the style. Story makes me feel immersed which is what I look for in a good story, while in the 200+ episoides there is a bit of filler it's a drop in the water compared to other long running shows. Almost every episode ends at a horrible location like mid sentence sometimes which is annoying, but not too bad as long as the next episode is available to watch. Some of them are really short as well, like less than 10 minutes of actual content, so the real episode count should really... See full review
cool fight scenes, but everything else is obnoxious. After a second season I was really hoping everything I hated about season 1 would get resolved and the show could stick more with the world building and story. Instead, they doubled down. within literal seconds of meeting, more than half the characters still want to murder the mc even after everything from season 1, it's ridiculous, and it never ends they just add a bigger fish every time an arc gets resolved. The character progression is also still terrible, it'll go "oh no I cant beat this without a skill", 1 minute later... "oh I... See full review
cool fight scenes, but everything else is obnoxious. I started this because many have it as one of their top "manhua" shows, I was very disappointed. within literal seconds of meeting, more than half the characters want to murder the mc, it's ridiculous, and it never ends they just add a bigger fish every time an arc gets resolved. The character progression is also terrible, it'll go "oh no I cant beat this without a skill", 1 minute later... "oh I learned how to do this skill out of nowhere with no practice" There's plot holes everywhere. there is conveniently always... See full review
If you like great storytelling with scenes and characters that make you feel emotional, this is for you. I see multiple reviews on here bashing the show, but it's obvious those people don't care about story or immersion at all and just want nonstop action. Anime originals rarely do well, but this one is a true gem. Will this be my favorite show ever? No, however it is extremely high quality and an amazing addition to the lesser utilized genre of futaristic and AI in an anime.See full review
I could compare this to shows like Vivy, Psycho Pass, and even Ergo Proxy. Time of Eve does a great job of story telling and interesting characters. The main things that keep me from rating this higher are the occasional first person view camera angles which are way too choppy and dizzying. and most of all, there's no ending. I would be fine if this was like how some Japanese films are in that it is up to the viewer to interpret the ending, however this doesnt even get that far. The main plot is barely introduced, so many questions never answered. Overall, worth a watch but certainly not my... See full review
It's always the shows that have a synopsis that make you go "This seems bland, I can't believe there's a whole series about something like this" that end up being amazing.
What really hooked me is the depth of character progression, I got attached to many of them which is rare to find. The darker themes can definitely attract those onion ninjas, and that's ok with me.
The art is pretty, definitely a strong point of this show.
The animation is fine, but it's not gonna be anything like your 60fps fight scenes in an action show. Overall, this is a really solid show to give you a... See full review
As a rom-com, it's alright. Not the best, but also still entertaining. Hensuki is great if you want something that is different from the usual, and the characters keep it interesting for a while. Unfortunately it suffers from an awkward ending. Overall, worth a watch if you enjoy other rom-coms, but not my favorite of the genre. Reviewed for secret santa 2020See full review

Going into this, I had low expectations. Average review was 3/5 and written reviews were either 4/10 or 9/10.
Starting out, I had my doubts. The story is paced very quickly and many points are not explained. However, they did just enough to keep me invested. Animation is great, and soundtrack is pretty good, can't complain there. It has it's own fair share of cringy cliches that all "magical girl" shows have (don't get me wrong those parts can have appeal too, but it's very easy to make it bad), and there are a lot of... I will try not to spoil anything important. For me it started off pretty slow, but the unique concept kept me interested enough to continue watching a few more episodes. The more I watched, the more I became frustrated with the characters as the story became much darker than at the start. In a situation where your life is in danger, the first thing you should worry about is avoiding the danger, not running directly into it just to ask your friend if they are alright. Not even to try to stop the danger, but just to ask the friend if they were alright... However, from how the story started out, I was... See full review
Aster's voice ruins the entire show for me. The show has a lot of cliches in the story. It looks fine visually. However, I cannot stand when every single line coming out of Aster's mouth is a screech with that annoying "ahhhhh" he does after every freaking sentence. Normally I can ignore one annoying character and enjoy the rest of the show, but this time it is so in my face I can't ignore it. I have watched hundreds of shows, and this is the first time ever I've dropped a show from one character alone.See full review
I loved this anime! It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I still remember enough to write about it. If you haven;t seen this one yet, it is definitly a must see. Story: I really enjoyed this plot. It was really interesting and it kept me watching every week. It also caused many hilarious moments that made me love this anime even more. I just wish there was more, as they never actually finished the story. Animation: The animation was beautiful. However, it usualy is, so this is not really any different from most others. Sound: The sound was normal like in most other anime I watch. ... See full review
This anime was overall very nice. I enjoyed it, and it was one of my fsvorites this season. Story: This story was pretty interesting. I don't want to spoil it, but it definitely keeps me wanting more. The setting that the characters are placed in allows for some funny moments, and I enjoyed it. Animation: Once again as usual, I have nothing to complain about here. Sound: I never have much to say here. It was fine. Characters: There characters were designed really well in this anime. I really liked how they turned out. There was plenty of story to them, and none of them really made me... See full review
This anime was so interesting, that I just had to write a review about it. It was one of the better ones of the season for me, but it had its downsides. Story: I'll try not to spoil anything, but this anime just made me so ANGRY! There were so many plot twists and unexpected scenarios that I almost stopped watching it because it made me so angry that the story was not going in the direction I was hoping it would. Overall, it actually intrigued me to stay and find out what would happen, as this anime had some of the most frustrating cliff hangers. I think that in the end, I am pretty satisfied with what... This anime really suprised me. At first, I didn't know what to expect. Though after watching the first episode, I was hooked! It kept me laughing every episode, and overall it was one of my favorites this season. Story: This anime is more about comedy, so there really wasn't a story. However, there were quite a few flashbacks that were really funny and really added to the depth of the characters and story. Animation: I thought that animation looked really great in this anime. Then again, I hardly ever have anything bad to say in this category. Sound: Once again, I liked it. I really never... See full review

Story: The story for Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal is sadly lacking. The once great story of the original has yet to be followed up wth each of the sequel seasons becoming worse and worse. This series also can become extremely annoying with its use of themes, as the hints of friendship just don't sound like something anyone would ever say. They are not bad themes, they just aren't presented in the right way. The ideas of this story are horrible, as they are simply a copy of the plot of both the original series and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. Overall, it's really a tragedy how bad... See full review
