p.s.sOkay so upon further reading, I beleive I must correct myself, it seems to be a prequel rather than a Spin-off, as it is introducing character which MC already knew in Strongest Sage (like how he had met Iris in his past life) given he meet iris in the first issue, is safe to say it is a prequel. So basically the events that happened leading up to his choice to reincarnate would be my guess, since at this point in time he thinks it is foolish. (and the guy who is his best friend he hasn't met yet).So yeah, not a copy-paste, or a spinoff, but in fact a prequel.
p.s. blob:https://mangadex.org/402a2e54-acb5-415e-b988-c01411d8d7f7The specific panel mention where it references the manga it is a spin-off of.Although depending on which light novel came first it may be the original and not the spinoff. (although pretty sure it is the spinoff).
Your review on " Senmetsu Madou no Saikyou Kenja: Musai no Kenja, Madou wo Kiwame Saikyou e Itaru."https://www.anime-planet.com/manga/senmetsu-madou-no-saikyou-kenja-musai-no-kenja-madou-wo-kiwame-saikyou-e-itaru/reviewsIs severly misinformed. It isn't a copy-paste of Strongest Sage with the weakest crest, it is a literal spin-off by the same author... you need only go so far as to check the related manga section to see as much as it links you to the strongest sage.It is why all those characters have the same names... because they literally are the same characters, just a different timeline where he made a different choice. You can even see them reference this in the first issue where it shows a panel of strongest sage after he reincarnated when he mentions he could reincarnate... then decides against it because he may not get the crest he wants... unlike the choice he made in strongest sage where he took that gamble. So yeah... you should do a bit more research like reading the whole page on animeplanet before jumping to such conclusions... spin-offs are a thing. And that author decided to do one. Don't mislead people into thinking they are ripping off their own work.
