Alright everyone, gather round for another review, which will be more exciting than your next breath.

Well i say that but i don't think this will be the case with MUC, cause if i'm totally honest with you it doesn't have all that much in terms of worthy content..I expected more fun with Sae, Nanaka, Akane, Takakura and Aburatsubo but the little spark the OVA series had is almost gone.

Speaking of it, this one takes place right after the events of the OVA. Basically after they "defeated" the hideous monsters-well no so hideous or even dangerous-they were left with a giant cherry tree to deal with. Now this doesn't sound all that exciting and that's because it isn't..All the damn tree did was hide the sun. So the tree was saving them from skin cancer and those fools decided to get rid. And so they did but after the tree went to the tree paradise along with the other trees a mysterious person appeared and began to stalk them, but the stalking isn't happening in an intrusive way..So the stalker has manners!

Now the main difference between this and the OVA is that the OVA is more plot driven whereas the series is more character driven, one might call it Slice of Life with some sprinkles of fantasy comedy. What's more Sae is now the main attraction leaving some screen time for all the other members to be explored. But overall it's more centered towards Sae and an equally big part is that of the love trian....Crap it's another gangbang isn't it? Once more then we dwelve deep into the abyss made by the tears of the unloved as this love chain is just as vast and dark as the abyss.

Nevertheless i'll give it a try!Sae loves the geek master Takeo, Nanaka loves Aburatsubo who has a crush on Takeo, who has a crush on Sae and every other girl he meets..Especially the one with the huge boobs, whose name i can't bother to recall. And i do mean huge guys.. These tits, these massive glorious milk glands deserve a special place in the halls of Valhalla. Of course there are others that ride the love train so i won't even go deeper than that.

As for the story-or lack thereof-it's broken down to 2 parts. The 1st part is mostly the gang testing new spells that go wrong in every possible way and serves as a character development part..The 2nd part is going back to the storyline where the mysterious character/villain is taking his sweet fucking time in wreaking havoc. So filler episodes for the most part and some story just to be on the safe side.

Animation is a child of the wretched 90's era. It's decent and all and not all that harmful to the eyes but it's not something special either. Other than that i quite liked both the OP and ED but not so much the music used in the actual anime itself. It's there but at the same time it's not.. It's the Schrodinger's music.

All in all i can't say i can recommend this with much confidence. To anyone i like at least. It's not that it's bad per se but it's not even close to exciting either. It's stuck between the hard rock and the indifferent place. As something to pass your time or even as a kids anime it serves its' purpose..But as a thought provoking anime? Nope...

2.5/10 story
3.5/10 animation
5/10 sound
5/10 characters
4/10 overall
