Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you with a response about wanting to join WECO (A-P Welcoming Committee) but I was away from the site this weekend attending an anime convention!
Do you have a Forum account set up yet? The forums are the real heart of communication on the site (you can send private messages to other members and can get involved with clubs and group activities). It's lively and fun there - lots of interaction with other members.
But note that you'll need to create a separate forum registration ID - most folks use the same as their site ID so it is easy to find them - as the two areas are not yet merged (that is coming sometime in the very near future as part of the site redesign). Just click on community link at the top of the page, and then choose Forum link from the dropdown menu.
Definitely get involved in the forums if you feel comfortable doing so. Feel free to join some clubs or play some forum games as well - fastest way to meet people and make new friends here. You'll definitely get to recognize and "know" other members and make new friends on the site.
If you sign up for the forums, I'll send you information about being a Greeter via PM. If you decide NOT to join the forums, let me know and I'll post the info here, but I tend to like to send it via PM better because the info is long and in PMs we can exchange non-public info like email addresses.
