The best way to describe this anime would be the words "cute" and "sweet".

Story:

As other before me have stated, the story of this anime is somewhat repetitive and bland, but I believe it to be a good thing, in this case. This anime falls into the "Slice of life" category and, as such, doesn't possess a plotline to follow. Because of that fact, the story is mostly a setup to allow the interactions happening between the characters. In this regards, the story does a fantastic job at what it's suppose to do. I will, however, remove a few points because it does feel repetitive during some parts.

Animation:

The animation of Karakai Jouzu no Tajagi-san uses a bright color palette which fits perfectly well with the cheerful and peaceful atmosphere of the anime. The chracters do have pretty big forehead, but it didn't really bother me during my viewing. as such, I have nothing to go on about with the animation, it's pretty good.

Sound:

Did I mention that this anime is peaceful and cheerful? Well, lemme say it again. This slow paced and reassuring music of this anime makes the atmosphere even better than what the animation already does fantasticly. I have no point I can really nit pick about sound-wise.

Characters:

In my humble opinion, characters are the most important part of a slice of life anime which explains why I'm a lot stricter on that point. I love the relationship between the ever-playful Takagi and the shy Nishikata. I will however admit that the latter can be annoying by moment, because of his overexagerated shyness. If the show only concentrated on those two, it'll probably have a 9/10 in this criteria. Unfortunately, there are a lot of segment with the ones I like to call the "side girls" which, in my opinion, only manages to cut the attention of the viewer from the two main characters without them bringing their own part to the mix. Because of those three, the note sadly is brought down a bit to a 7/10.

Overall:

Overall, I'd say Karakai Jouzo no Tagaki-san was an enjoyable experience which manges to make you forget all your worries and sucks you into a word a cheers, laugh and playfulness. Sadly, I cannot resist nitpicking this show. I do earnestly believe that it easily deserve the 8.5/10 I'm giving it, though.
