Chibikko Kenja, Lv.1 kara Isekai de Ganbarimasu!

Jan 24, 2022

Excellent manga about a girl who has to settle in a new world, if you like slice of life and cute interactions between all characters, then this is for you. If you're looking for a fighting manga, of course this won't do, as that isn't really the focus, although some fights are pretty cool and the enemies that appear later are very interesting as well as the way they are presented.

Days of Love at Seagull Villa

Oct 3, 2021

This review contains LIGHT spoilers. A refreshing, albeit drama-ish at parts, but even so very realistic, yuri manga. Go for it, it's short and sweet, most of the time. Kodama Naoko likes to include drama in everything she writes: most of the times it's too over-bearing. This time, the manga is mostly drama-free, and yet the characters are complex, all have their share of trauma and problems, and most of them get their development in such a short time that it's a shame we didn't get more volumes. This manga is about an unlikely couple of two women: one who always runs away, and another who faces things... See full review

Nekomusume Shoukougun

Aug 19, 2021

Excellent. It's fluffy, cute, soothing. The story is nothing out of this world, it's a nice slice of life that takes place mostly in a café, where characters get introduced at apt times, and all of them are fleshed out very well. Our two main pairs are developed over the course of the chapters, and you'll enjoy it immensely. The author decided to end it on its 100th chapter, and I think it was a very good ending. If you're up for some light yuri and a story that deals correctly with different emotions and different personalities, this is it!

Our Wonderful Days

Aug 5, 2021

"Our Wonderful Days" is simplicity in its utmost form. This author knows how to know the simple and mundane in a perfect way. Combine that with two amazing pairs, plus cool side characters and a very relaxed pace of storytelling, and you get this masterpiece. The only downside of this manga is the fact that it is too short. But the ending was amazing. Even so, you can't help but want to know more about the characters. The yuri is subtle but conclusive, as it does not stay in subtlety, especially for one of the pairs (the other is way more dumb even though they may seem like they aren't, wake up... See full review

Kotonoha no Miko to Kotodama no Mahou to

Jun 29, 2021

Excellent short yuri story. There's not an abundance of yuri fantasy story, and this one fits the role perfectly. As always, Fujieda Miyabi does it again. Her series are sweet and light. This one's about a witch who 'rescues' a shrine maiden and shows her the world. The plot is nothing out of the world, but the characters are great and fun to be around, feels like they could go for a longer series if needed just exploring Japan.

ES: Eternal Sisters

Various short yuri stories. Very light. Most are pretty regular, some are not good, but the one at Volume 2, Chapter 5, is a hidden gem. Recommended. Will surely come back to read it again.

Ebisu-san to Hotei-san

Jun 20, 2021

Very very good, realistic yuri. Even though it's realistic, it has no need for cheap drama or dumb love triangles. The art, in particular Hotei's expressions, is amazing. The story is really well-done, and the way the characters talk and express themselves, as well and how the dialogue flows and how it 'tells' the story is very impressive. Recommended. The ending is perfect.

OoYankii!! Yankii Ouya-san to Boku no Apaato Kurashi

Jun 15, 2021

I started reading this because of how cool the Landlady looked, it was a nice surprise. Keep in mind I've read it 'til chapter 16.5 which is what's available in English as far as I know. Essentially, this is a slice of life manga dealing with the interactions of a landlady and her tenants, mostly the new tenant, a guy who wants to be a manga artist. It made me reminisce a bit of 'Gokushufudou', and if done better, it could've been as good as that. The story is really fluffy, though sometimes the 'jokes' fall flat, but most of the time they're funny. Sometimes the main guy gets a bit annoying, and some of... See full review

Yumeguri Yurimeguri

Nov 23, 2020

This manga is basically about four girls who go on onsen tours. It's also about the romance of the two main pairs and their adventures together. The characters are fun, the comedy is fun, and it's really cute. The romance progression is also a little more than subtext as of yet, so I hope they'll actually confess in the process of the manga, which seems likely. Anyways, if you're onto cute things, yuri, and onsen, read this! It's really cute.

Otome no Teikoku

Apr 2, 2020

First things first: don't be discouraged by the ecchi tag if you're not into that. I was on the verge of not reading this because of it, but I'm so glad I decided to read it at last. This manga starts off being quite ecchi-ish at first, focused on pairs of high school girls (not always romantic, though usually in a romantic-development stage) doing things and interacting with each other. So, mainly, this manga focuses on all types of relationships: fluffy, drama-ish, 'toxic', sexual, etc, combining all of those, too. As the chapters go on, we are introduced to more pairs, with a total of about 10 as of now... See full review

Pocha Climb!

Mar 23, 2020

If you're looking for some fluffy yuri, this is the manga for you. Couple it with cool bouldering, amazing characters, and not one, but TWO couples, and you gotta love this manga! It's really cute, all the characters are super cool. Aira is the biggest lesbian and she knows it, Tsugu is oblivious as hell and just wants to eat. I'm not making justice to the manga, go read it!

Secret of the Princess

Feb 6, 2019

Contains light spoilers. Totally recommended. Morinaga at its finest. Since the story is set up in such a way that the couple is already a 'couple' from the start, there's no much worrying about 'but could we even date' and stuff like that, so it focuses more on their interactions and how their love for each other grows within that fake romance. Admittedly, Miu seemed to be in love with Fujiwara right from the start, as she admits later; and a bit more of time expanding on Fujiwara's point of view would have been amazing and I think was needed. Anyways, the fact that this is a one-volume story really helps... See full review

Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl

Feb 4, 2019

- "Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl" is quite the amazing yuri manga. It deals with many couple inside the same school, and has one couple as focus for each volume, with the main couple intertwined in-between (although later volumes focus on them quite a lot more). Most of the girls know each other, more or less, or come to know each other as the manga follows its story. The couple are all different and distinct, and maybe more time for them to develop would have been great, but with the time they were given they have lots of room to expand, anyways. Every couple's situation is different... See full review

Shuuden ni wa Kaeshimasu

Dec 31, 2018

These ratings are for the first three stories, of which the first two go hand in hand. With such little length, the stories were well-developed, the characters were charming and their interactions funny and down-to-earth. The emotional moments were exceptionally well-handled. I love how the story is told, relying quite a lot on untold stuff that you can infer. A must-read for any yuri or romance fan, to be honest. Go read it.

Still Sick

Dec 27, 2018

Read 3 chapters. If you're wondering 'should I pick this up?', then yes, you should. The story is just unfolding, so I can't say much, but the characters are all really integral and the relationship between the leads it's pretty well-built. Plus, it's surprisingly funny. Gives off a Wotakoi vibe, since it deals with manga and dojinshi and people working at an office. Totally recommended.
