The first time a recap is better than the original series... because the story can be perfectly fitted here.
There is absolutely no need to watch the horrible original run, this is the removal of everything uneccessary to make what the first part of "SAO - War Of Underworld" really is, a single episode stretched in a whole serial made of fillers.
Really, watch this and save yourself.... and wait for the recap of season 2.
