Yeah in the beginning it's pretty bad, but he redeems himself pretty quickly in my eyes and ends up trying to atone for his previous treatment. I don't want to spoil anything but they both try really hard to be better with each other.
Kinda agree on Gokurakugai Sanban-doori no Ken being better than Getbackers but Getbackers has a special place in my heart (alongside saiyuki) for being the true definition of "friendship is the real power and friendship triumphs all"

Oh nothing at all, in fact I loved every episode with a passion. There's a reason I was more invested in watching than whether or not it's weird to watch it with my own mother, which is what seems awkward in hindsight to begin with. I regret 'nothing' from the show, comedy gold all the way through, guess even back then I had a taste for romantic comedies. If you're curious, I think mom was into it too, tho I think it was more her adapting to the world of anime tropes & themes that the rest of us find charming.
Agreed. The main thing that originally attracted me to the show was how good the food looked, and I wish that would've been the focus. Also, thank you for following me back!
Lol I just saw your comment about my Food Wars status. Ngl I had put it off because the first 2 seasons were not very good. Ended up finishing it and it became slightly more tolerable towards the end. The ecchi scenes were super annoying though.
