Mech Mayhem

Mecha titles worth watching (that I've seen). Space anime that just have battleships and fighter crafts (like Cowboy Bebop and Irresponsible Captain Tylor) or have a mech or two in them but are not primarily a mech series (namely Re:Creators) are excluded.
1 Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

Fun mech battles, awesome mech designs, cool protagonist, a grandiose sense of flare, and an epic cliffhanger. Plus, Kotaro Nakagawa OST is boss AF!

2 Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

Same as above but swap cliffhanger with finale.

Also not as good.

3 Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion I - Initiation

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion I - Initiation

A worthy alternate, condensed version of the better part of the first season.

4 Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion II - Transgression

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion II - Transgression

On here by default because movies 1 and 3 are good. This one is the black sheep of the trilogy tho

5 Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion III - Glorification

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion III - Glorification

The superior version to the clusterfuck that was the final cour of R2. They somehow made the ending even better than it was before.

6 Mobile Suit Gundam I

Mobile Suit Gundam I

It's a retelling of the first part of the original Gundam but with none of the filler.

7 Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow

Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow

It's a weaker retelling of the second part of Gundam but with none of the filler. Only really on the list because you need it in order to proceed to the final film in the trilogy.

8 Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space

Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space

It's a retelling of the final part of the original series, and it's satisfying to see.

9 Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt

Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt

Amazing side-story installment that encapsulates what Gundam is about. Plus, eye-candy.

10 Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt - December Sky

Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt - December Sky

Same as the Thunderbolt OVA, but with an English dub and a Perfect Zeong at the end.

11 Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt 2nd Season

Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt 2nd Season

Amazing continuation of an already great side-series. Feels even more human.

12 Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt - Bandit Flower

Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt - Bandit Flower

The definative version of the second season, slightly weaker dub than usual.

13 Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin

As wonderous and wonderful as Gundam has ever been. Also the perfect origin story for Char.

14 Gundam Build Fighters

Gundam Build Fighters

Incredibly fun with Gunpla, and is a good kids series for most part.

15 Gundam Build Fighters: GM no Gyakushuu

Gundam Build Fighters: GM no Gyakushuu

Feels like en elongated episode of the original, but better.

16 Turn A Gundam

Turn A Gundam

Charming atmosphere and characters, and a really solid Gundam anime.

17 Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

Darker continuation of Gundam. Plus, Quattro Bageena makes everything better.

18 Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket

A beautifully tragic entry with characters as lovely as their art styles and designs.

19 Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Because the hype train is a drill, the drill...THAT WILL PIERCE THROUGH THE HEAVENS!!!

20 Genesis Climber Mospeada

Genesis Climber Mospeada

Pretty cool first half and alien mechs. Likeable cast and a tsundere that is infinitely better than the norm.

21 Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles

Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles

Better finale to MOSPEADA than the actual finale.

22 Super Dimensional Fortress Macross

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross

It's a space opera classic and the quintessential love triangle anime.

23 Super Dimensional Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love

Same as above, but prettier and more poignant.

24 Macross Plus Movie Edition

Macross Plus Movie Edition

Tragically realistic and lovable trio, and awesome animation.

25 Macross Frontier

Macross Frontier

Lovely songs, nice trio, surprisingly fitting CGI, and Sheryl Nome.

26 Macross Frontier Movie 1: The False Songstress

Macross Frontier Movie 1: The False Songstress

Turns into an interesting new story for the series. Plus, better animation and CGI.

27 Macross Frontier Movie 2: The Wings of Farewell

Macross Frontier Movie 2: The Wings of Farewell

Everything good about Frontier with amazing new songs and interesting twists.

28 Neon Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Incredibly brutal and introspective, and with a wonderful message. Also, effectively considered a must-watch by the community as a whole.

29 Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

Exact same reasons, except with even better visuals and a different but equally powerful message.

30 Martian Successor Nadesico

Martian Successor Nadesico

Pretty funny post-eva-ish show with likable and funny characters occupying discount White Base. Kinda like Tylor, but with more anime parody.

31 The Vision of Escaflowne

The Vision of Escaflowne

Cool mecha fantasy with mech nights (one of which has a dragon form). Surprisingly strying given all the voodoo nonsense and the fact that this is an isekai with love triangles.
