Anime that deserve a Continuation/ Reboot

Short list for now. I'll probably add more in the future if I come across or think of any more.
1 Bastard!!

Bastard!!

I would love to see this get a proper tv anime adaption. It would be great to see them start an anime project with its latest art as a base model for the series.

Update 2022: its crazy that some of the series have actually been rebooted while I have personally been out of the loop on anime for a couple years. I never thought Bastard would get remade especially currently. More shocking that outside of anime even Beavis and Butthead got a continuation so I guess anything is still possible. I haven't watched bastard yet but this one was quite the pleasant surprise to see was back.

2 Baccano!

Baccano!

With over 20 volumes of the light novel out, this series is just too good to not consider for a continuation. With Durarara finished, hopefully someone will look back at this.

3 GANTZ

GANTZ

If there was anything that ever deserved a reboot, it would be Gantz. I long to see Shion Izumi and Kenzo Sakata on screen.

4 Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin

Jinchu arc deserves to be properly adapted and there is enough material for quite a bit of episodes. From what I know this is still one of the most popular series in Japan, even getting a couple live action adaptions the past few years that ended up being pretty great films themselves. Hell, I'd even settle for it in live action form with a 4th film covering Enishi's story. Why we have no Jinchu arc yet I have no clue.

Udate: With Nobuhiro Watsuki's recent scandal there is zero chance this will ever happen.

Update 2022: I was wrong.

5 The Legend of the Legendary Heroes

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes

Deserves a second season. Ends on a cliffhanger and was a pretty solid series overall, so why not?

6 Blade of the Immortal

Blade of the Immortal

Deserves reboot. The manga is one of my favorites but this adaption lacked the stylish flair the manga had and didn't get far along enough in the story. The series just recieved a well reviewed live action film by Takashi Miike so with any hope someone will think of a reboot. But sadly, if the live action Kenshin movies weren't enough to kick start the Jinchu arc, then this is doubtful as well. Extremely doubtful.

Update: All doubt has been eliminated as a new adaption has been announced. This is the first on my wish list to recieve a new anime and I couldnt be more excited. Finally one of my top Manga can be one of my top Anime, that is if they don't go the CG Berserk route.

Update: Well it's a rushed mess with incoherent pacing. I have been honestly losing interest with newer anime that isn't Jojo or Gintama, so why do i bother anymore lol

7 Desert Punk

Desert Punk

I wouldn't mind a continuation since the manga made the anime ending canon anyway. Not that I believe this has enough popularity to be seriously considered, but I love it so can I dream anyway? Hmm guess i should change the title of this list to Anime That I personally would like to see a Continuation or Reboot of.

8 Trigun

Trigun

Trigun is an absolute legend of a series but why not adapt Maximum into an anime as well?

Update 2022: wow I dont even know what to think but from what I can see I hate it already. Vash's redesign is one of the worst things I have seen, as he is now a generic fuck boy.

9 Great Teacher Onizuka

Great Teacher Onizuka

Wasn't only half of the manga adapted? This has remained popular over many years, with even a few live action tv adaptions in Japan. I'm pretty sure alot of people would be glad to see the actual anime continue.

10 Claymore

Claymore

A reboot would be needed here seeing as the anime decided to change a major detail and just wouldn't be able to pick up where it left off otherwise. Claymore is a great series and its a shame we don't have the entire manga adapted.

11 Tiger & Bunny

Tiger & Bunny

Another season covering up to the complete loss of Kotetsu's powers would be pretty cool to see.

Update 2022: this was the year where a bunch of things on my list would be marked off. I have a lot of catching up to do since i don't watch much anime anymore.

12 BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad

BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad

Very good series and there is plenty left to cover from the manga.

13 Bleach

Bleach

I really thought this would have returned by now.

Update: It's happening i think?? Bleach was one of my gateway shows that i'm still fond of so i'll be checking it out when it comes.

Update 2022: once it has all aired this is the first series I think I will binge watch, I waited this long I can wait more to enjoy it in large sessions.

14 Pumpkin Scissors

Pumpkin Scissors

I'd like to see a continuation but the manga seems to be dead as well, unfortunately.

15 Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

After the credits I believe this ended kind of on a cliffhanger. I say 'kind of' because I'm unsure if we're meant to take it seriously or not. Well, regardless it's a funny show and I wouldn't mind a second season.

16 Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Seems to be enough material in the manga for another 12 episode season, so where is it?

17 Toriko TV

Toriko TV

Reboot, and this time target it at the proper audience.

18 BLAME! Movie

BLAME! Movie

The movie was good even though it went off track and did its own thing but a faithful full length series would be much appreciated here.

What about Elfen Lied...Deadman Wonderland...Ergo Proxy....

This is a good list, I completely agree with all of these and we can always dream since Berserk received a continuation 19 years later! By the way, that one is missing from this list and will need a proper reboot, this time with an art that makes more justice to the original.
