Having heard that there will be an OVA suite to the acclaimed Gainax's production, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, I was delighted to sit in front of my computer, happy to watch it. And oh the disapointment.

There is not enough room in this 8-minute animation to fit in a story but in the actual series they manage to crawl in amusement for about 10 minutes the mini-episode. So why not here? I felt that they simply did not have a good idea to start. They simply filled the air-time with non-funny jokes of about 1 minute 30 each. A complete waste of time, money and production. Still, the graphics, though less imaginative than the series, were great. Great with stupidistic plot, may I say.

The sound here is the same, though a bit flawed. I did not felt the characteristic vibe of the two main characters. In fact we don't even see them as the stars of the show but as merely random side characters. A shame.

As I said, where are the characters? Nowhere.

Overall, thsi is not even worth a watch. Yes, even for hardcore fans of Panty, Stcoking and co. Just stick with the incredible original series and don't even bother about this one. It is just 8-minutes long, but 8 five horrible minutes indeed. I seriously hope they will not tarnish the series brilliance anymore than that in the upcoming true OVA. In resume: A complete waste of time.

Note: Funimation licensed the original series, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, for a DVD/ Blu-Ray release in 2012. There is no doubt about that: I'm gonna buy it for sure.I still say I am a fan of Panty and Stcoking as the original series suprised me highly with it's busty imagination, color, concept, art, ruthlessness and arrogance. I will then make a complete review on the series.

Score: A poor 2.5/5 because it's utter crap.
